Scrap a Day, March 16th

Hey Cherries. Well I never was able to shake off the lazies yesterday. It was one of those days where I ended up doing absolutely nothing. I watched the college basketball tournament with DS and his team lost by one point  : (  so they won’t be in the final today. After that I just had no energy to do anything. Don’t know why I dragged all day but I felt a little off.  I’m hoping today goes better. I did get to leave some love on my challenge entries and will do more of that today. I want to get to working on getting a new graphic design challenge ready to post tomorrow. Hopefully today goes better than yesterday.

Have a great day Cherries.

Good Morning Everyone!! Barb, sometimes you just have to have a lazy day and take it easy. Maybe your body needed to recoop! 😊

I have such exciting news!!! Lucy's High School basketball team won WV State 1st place Championship yesterday. There were so many of the family showed up to cheer her on. Plus some watching from home on Hudl. We are truly blessed to have such a supportive family. Most of us traveled 2 hrs. to get there.

As a side note....this was extra special because it was the first time their school had ever made it to the Championship!!!

Here's our sweet girl. So very Proud of her!! 💖

Good morning cherries!!! Been busy, but still listening to body and taking breaks when needed. Friday I worked from my laptop all day. Luckily it was quiet and got some small stuff done, all while watching a show on NetFlix. I also managed to get the bathrooms cleaned, and floors swept/mopped (Swiffer, so its alot easier than traditional sweeping/mopping). I also broke up the chores in 4 parts, and took a good hour break or 2 in between parts. After work, DH and I went to grab a beer and some food at our local bar and grill. Then to Home Depot for a new ceiling fan for the bedroom. Ours is acting up --- the "high" setting feels like low. No bueno!!! So we bought a new one. Came home to relax with some tv before going to bed.

Got up early yesterday and we bought groceries, made breakfast and DH helped me with the laundry. I rested as I felt a little swollen, finished up a show while DH planted our rosemary bushes and excited to see our new rose bushes he planted 2 weeks ago doing very well. Once he was done for the day, we just played catch up on our shows. Dinner was easy - we both brough home food from the night before.

Slept in this morning and DH made Denver Omlettes for breakfast. I did the dishes/cleaned the kitchen and he formed the patties for the venison burgers we're having tonight. First time having venison burgers so excited to see how they taste.

I'm now in my scrap room while DH is installing our new ceiling fan. I got Step #2 of the Double Page challenge uploaded and now trying to figure out what I want to work on next! :) I actually feel REALLY good today and as happy as I am about that, do know that I can't go crazy despite tomorrow will be the day where I'm technically restriction free and can go back to normal. Will need to ease into things this week. I'm trying to get it in my head that it's okay if I can't do all the things in one day.....I'll get there.

Hope y'all have a great day!

Almost time for March Madness...my favorite time for BB but not sure if my team will make it either.  Hope you're feeling better today.  Down days are needed on occasion.

You are so busy even when you're on the down low!  Slowing down isn't easy for those of us that want to go full speed all of the time.  It's been a real change up for me the past few years.  Take it easy girlie!

Good morning.  Usual sunny hazy blue sky with some puffy white clouds and light breeze between storms here.

I had a slight sinus headache yesterday morning but went about my day getting stuff done.  However by late afternoon it was a screaming migraine and I was down for the count.  Took meds, wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa with cat.  Ate leftover beef stew for supper and muttered and mumbled crossly all evening. feeling ok this morning so hoping to get out and clean garage today while it’s not raining.

Ah the life of an old woman and her cat!  lol
take care and have a nice day

Barb, there’s are those days when we really want and need to do something but our bodies and minds just won’t cooperate. Seems like as we get older it happens more often. That’s okay as long as we don’t linger there and become total blobs. :) Like we keep telling Brandy we must also listen to our bodies and stop when they say so. Hope today is much better!!!

Brandy, you’re getting better every day! Look at how much you’ve done in 2-3 days even with the long breaks! You’re definitely going to get to the point where you’re able to do everything in one day again. :)

Have a great day!!!

Hey Cherries! Yesterday it was cold and snowed off and on all day but nothing stuck here. The snow line on the mountains was really low and the forecast for most of this week was for snow every day. But today it’s beautiful sunshine! It’s still chillier than it was last week but nothing stuck here too bad. The sun is making the water sparkle and it’s so pretty!

We have found a new home for our third rooster. That’s good for him because we’ve had enough of the chaos he was causing! The guy who’s taking him will be here tomorrow morning. So Steve put him in a crate with fresh straw and food and water last night. It’s SOOOOO much more quiet today!!! And he’ll be the only rooster there so that should be good for all of us - especially him! Hahaha! I’m so glad we didn’t have to turn him into stew!

I managed to get a tag and a layout done yesterday before dinner. Today I need to do some cleaning but hoping I can get working on a complicated sketch. We will see…

Otherwise Steve is working on getting the water system set up. Still a LOT of steps before it’s done. I’ve been so patient but I’ve started pushing more. Three months without running water is TOO long! But with all the rain and freezing temperatures it was impossible to keep the house warm and do the water hookup work too. If we didn’t absolutely LOVE this house and this view we’d have been back in the cabin long ago! Lolol!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful day!!!

I’m having a lazy day too! But, I did get out and walk earlier before the wind got up and blowing! It was cloudy and in the 30’s. As far as I am concerned it can warm up anytime!

Having leftovers for dinner and just got the dishwasher unloaded, so a chill afternoon. Just having fun creating.

Happy Sunday!
