NSD Poll
Just putting some feelers out there -- in previous years we have had 2 hour time slots for hosts to share their NSD games/challenges. I have heard that some think this is not enough time and may feel rushed.

For previous years, the schedule for Fri, Sat, and Sun was this with 18 hosts:
9am - 11am
11am - 1pm
1pm - 3pm
3pm - 5pm
5pm - 7pm
7pm - 9pm

Another idea is to do 3 hour time slots, so it would look like this with 12 hosts:
9am - 12pm
12pm - 3pm
3pm - 6pm
6pm - 9pm

Extending the time slots would give people more time, but then it does mean less hosts. And I know everyone wants to host!

What are your thoughts? Any other ideas?

Re: NSD Poll
I love the idea of trying a 3 hour slot!  Sometimes a hostess has so much fun planned she runs out of time.

The one slot that comes to mind for this is the NSD Bingo game.  That game almost always take 2 hours, sometimes more.  It doesn't give Sandi (or whoever does the hosting this year) much time to do anything else.  But, if she's good, I'm good!

All that being said, I'm fine with however ACOT wants to handle it!
OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

National Scrapbook Day is always the first Saturday of May -- so this year we'll be celebrating May 2nd-4th.

Fun fact, my due date is May 3rd.. not a busy weekend or anything haha!

Re: NSD Poll
I'm good with either, especially since the hostess almost always give us more time to complete the challenge, I guess this would be mostly for the games.

I'm good with either.  I usually do 3 challenges and 2 games which works well for the 2 hour time slot but adding more events works too.

I’m not a host but I like the 2 hour slots….just because that will give us more challenges to complete :) I love all the variety!

I always finished my games within the 2 hours. I think it would be more difficult to keep people entertained for 3 hours. Also, I like having more different hostesses because it gives more variety.

I like your two hour time slot but an ok with either. I like the idea of more hostesses because of the variety.

I like the 2-hour slots. As a hostess, it is easier to plan and schedule with 2 hours.  Also, more people can be a hostess.

Re: NSD Poll
I like the 2 hour time slots and I usually have always had enough time to run games and post my challenges. I think it might be harder to set aside 3 hours to host, but with that said I would go with whatever you decide Rachel.

I love the two hour time slot - gives more of us an opportunity to host! & it's less time away from the actual scrapbooking for those of us who do hostess! ;)

I voted for 3 hours, try something new, but the current 2 hours is great, too. ACOT will be the place to be on NSD either way!

Luckily you have an amazing staff that will have your back - AND some amazing hostesses who will keep everything fun and exciting

Re: NSD Poll
As a former hostess - I found the 2 hour block perfect - BUT you "could" have both. If a particular hostess needs more time for a game, that could be a possibility. For example:

9-11
11-1
1-4
4-6
6-9
But there are many other ways to do it.

Personally I like that so many people get a chance to hostess and more challenges mean more chances to win a prize - and I'd think more traffic for ACOT. If I remember last year, you actually had extra prizes so hostesses were ask to offer additional challenges.

that's just my 2 cents!
