Hey Cherries. Still very cold here. Even though our temp is 22 right now the feels like is 7. I’m picking up the grands this afternoon for their annual Presidents week sleepover. We have lots of fun activities planned, although playing in the snow is no longer one of them since we are now expecting zero snow. Crazy since we were supposed to get this big snowstorm that was going to bring 17 inches plus of snow. Now the forecast is totally different. No snow at all. We will still have lots of fun though. I have a layout in progress but won’t be getting back to it until after the weekend when the kids go home.
Have a great day Cherries.

Hi Barb!
Have a super fun time with your grandkids! Making memories!
Still in the deep freeze here this morning at minus 17. Headed above zero today, though. I will still be hibernating. Be warm up starting in a couple of days. Need to tackle a couple of projects today. Finished 2 layouts yesterday.
Grandson forgot his homework folder yesterday, so will be cracking the whip today. Need to figure out dinner.
Have a good Wednesday, all!

Good morning cherries. We are feeling a bit chilly out today. We hit a high of 81 yesterday and the front blew in overnight. Right now, it's 35 with a wind chill of 22. Luckily, no precip. Staying warm with my fuzzy PJ bottoms and robe. Really not motivated to work yet, even though I'm sitting in my office right now. Already washed bed sheets and even dusted our bedroom, being careful, of course.
My post-op appt with my Dr went very well. Basically f/up with my do's/don'ts and continue with my home care instructions. He received my pathology report for my left ovary and the bloody cyst and everything was benign. He stated I can start doing light housework next week - dusting, unloading/loading the dishwasher. Still no vacuuming, or lifting/pulling/pushing anything more than 10 lbs. I can also walk longer distances too - starting this weekend. I'm up to walking 10 mins almost every time I get up (every 1-2 or sometimes 3 hrs). So I'll try to get out this weekend (weather permitting as they say we're supposed to have rain) so I'm ready by Monday morning when I can go out on my walks like I used to. He reiterated to listen to my body. I can also start sitting at my desk in my office for longer periods of time (2-4 hrs a day, with me getting up every 30 mins to 1 hr to walk). Oopsie...my bad...I already started sitting at my desk last week for that length of time....
After lunch, I was planning to get some work done on the laptop while watching a movie on Netflix, but Mr. Jackson had other plans. Demanded that I put the laptop away and grab out blanket so he could snuggle and take a nap. He was still asleep when the movie was over with, so I put on another one. He slept thru that too. So did the pups. All were passed out in the living room. As much as I enjoyed the quiet, I really had to get up and stretch and walk around. Then I moved back to my office and worked there for an hour before DH came home.
Hope everyone stays warm!

And WOW you're weather! Basically a 50 degree change over night! Brr! I'm glad you're staying warm and cozy!
Hopefully you will continue to build your strength and get 100% healed!
Have fun with the kid Barb!
Cold here too. My cleaning guy is here so I'm stuck inside, not a bad day for that. I finished my London album this morning and am printing photos for the next project. I'll try to get outside this afternoon for a walk even if it is cold.
Have a great day and stay warm everyone!

Hey Cherries
Woke up pretty early and will probably take a nap soon LOL it's like, 15°F and brrr! Snowy! We were supposed to start early this morning and it started last night - they've only called for about 3-6 inches so I guess that's what we've got so far!
Therapy went good yesterday - though I did NOT get to his clothes in the closet yet. DID get a few things done in my room THOUGH- I'm taking some things more slowly I guess.
At any rate, I'm off today and while I need hours at work, I'm grateful to be able to be inside on a day like this! DGD is supposed to work today and STILL fighting her cold and I'm hoping she'll call in today and get some rest, actually. She wants to go non-stop, and I suppose she DOES have that younger-person energy! I want her to fight her cold though!
Her mom and older sister are STILL being bullies- or, rather, attempting to be. (There's something of Omer's in MY storage unit that they want, that he DID NOT want them to have AND that goes to his LEGAL family! I didn't make the rules, but my loyalties to this wonderful, deceased man, are VERY fierce!)
(Courtney's older sister has threatened to break into MY storage unit- to which I say, go right ahead and commit THAT FELONY ! SMH these people are insane and therapy helps with THAT, too!
)
I'm going to wash dishes today, do puppy pads and litter boxes and who KNOWS what else! I REALLY want to finish my layout for the Rewind challenge, AND I'm LOVING ALL the challenges in here! We'll see. Things are kind of crazy here lol! Stuff in boxes, boxes in boxes... IDK. Tore apart the middle room to let her dad move in, NOW he's not sure!
To say that her parents are driving her crazy is an understatement, and they're on MY nerves too!
I'm praying a lot - AND being VERY social this morning! I'm feeling ALL the feels, as the young ones say! It certainly helps to have so many great friends/family here for me. It's NOT that I expected to feel alone during this time, it's like, whoa, I had NO idea SO MANY people would be there for me!!
Stay blessed, Dear Cherries! AND warm, too- since most of us are frosted over and then some!
I'll be glad for spring, I'll tell you that for sure!

Louise, I LOVE that you're brave enough to walk in the cold! (I would say "a TRUE New Yorker", but IDK if I got that part right?!) Anyway, I'm going to be doing a LOT more walking when it gets warmer, and while I'm NOT brave enough to walk in the cold, I am thinking about how maybe one day I will be!trainmom wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 11:58 amHave fun with the kid Barb!

I'm not a true NewYorker because I never lived in New York City, although I did go to college in upstate New York (much colder). I lived in Boston for a while which is even colder. Philadelphia is the mildest climate I've ever lived in but I'm not as tough as I was when I was younger. The London album is in the gallery in pieces. I don't think it's special enough to photograph the whole thing again. Although I am pleased with how it came out and I think my husband and son will like it as well since they were the other people who went.JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 12:07 pmLouise, I LOVE that you're brave enough to walk in the cold! Not quite sure what’s on the agenda today. Just taking it easy this morning. Hopefully I can work on the other FVDP projects today!
Have a great day! Stay safe and warm out there!!!
