Last day of the year Cherries. What are all of your plans for tonight? I’m having a stay in night, just me, DS and the doggies. Very chill. Today I’m going to be doing a lot of cleaning up around here. Would love to get another challenge in but not sure that’s going to happen. We’ll see how it goes.
Have a great New Year’s Eve Cherries!

Good morning Barb! Having a chill day/night here too! DH forgot to turn off his alarm so he was up early....I slept in a bit. Fed the furbabies, unloaded dishwasher, went on my walk. Vacummed bedroom. Drinking my coffee right now. Will be scrapping most of the day. Later on, DH and I will go over to my brother's house to see the kiddos for a bit. Then home to relax, Netflix and chill. I need to gather all the calming products for the pups and set those aside so I'm ready later. We are in a Stage 3 Drought and dry AF here AND fireworks are illegal in the city limits. Common sense would tell you not to pop off fireworks but pooples are stupid and common sense is hard to find. So not sure if we're in for a stressful night or not. But I'll do my best.
Hope y'all have a great day and see y'all next year!

Good morning Barb and Brandy.
We have our usual chill night planned too with our surf and turf dinner. We are pretty rural but there are some peeps that have fireworks that we hear every year. I'll be watching Keith Urban's New Year's Eve in Nashville.
I hope your pups do well with the noise. I know our dog was a mess when it was time for fireworks or thunder.
Happy New Year Cherries!

Good morning, Barb & Brandy, Vicki, and all!
Brandy, I am in awe that you already had your walk! Our high will only be 40, so maybe this afternoon, and maybe not.
Barb, we stay home, the two of us will have snacks for supper, leftover cheeses and sausages from Christmas Eve, when family was here. If there is a game hubby will watch that. I will try to get in a last minute layout for December, and maybe some cards. Other than that, bed by ten. When you are as old as us, we no longer stay up for the ball to drop! LOL
Happy New Year, everyone! Good luck with all your pets and the fireworks.

Since Sunday, our temps are 48 to 54 in the morning, with lots of fog, then sunshine all day and warm up to the 80s. Yesterday we broke a record and hit 92 for the high after being 50 in the morning. I like to get my walk in early before the day gets filled up.

Hello, Cherries!
We will be making home made pizzas and then ice cream sundaes. We will also be spending the night playing games. We play Monopoly and we play poker. We bet with candy for our poker games. We each buy a bag of our favorite candy and use that instead of chips. We have fun!
Other than watching the ball drop -- that's it!
Those of you that have plans out, be safe!
Have a great day ALL!

OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Hi Cherries !!! Currently at work…. Doing a little work… and also a little bit of ACOT!!! It’s the last warm day so here in a few minutes I will go do my outside inspections. Super windy but close to 50 ahead of the artic blast that is coming.
no plans for me. I will stop at the grocery on the way home and then hopefully have a cozy evening with the pups.
oh Mr. Ollie thought he would blow past me and get out to the front yard this morning on my way to work at 5 !!! Eeek I live close to a busy street and usually it’s hard to get him back. Of course pitch black night, he is a black lab !!! But he went to the perimeter of the yard on every side and left his mark and then came running back. Mx we went in! I was praying the whole time. Help me lord Jesus! And he did!
So thankful for that this morning!
now to get the rest of this day done!

Happy New Year's Eve Cherries!!
A new day has come and most of the sickness is gone from the house! Thank goodness!! I'm getting ready to head out to the grocery store and pick up a couple of things to make for tonight. We are having appetizer/finger foods - sausage balls, Rotel dip, ham and cheese sliders, chips and dip, mini pizzas, veggies, fruit, and something for dessert... I don't know if we will make it til the ball drops - but we will try. I'm sure Grayson will!
Once I get my snacks made, I'm coming into my scrapbook room for the most of the day -or that's the plan! I've got one layout almost done for one of Karyn Sue's Hanukkah challenges and another layout in mind... I also want to get my challenge up and work on what my goals for 2025 are going to be. 2025 - that seems like it should be a Jetson's thing - not something I'm getting ready to live in! Wow - time flies!

Good morning Cherries, have missed you all. Wishing everyone a beautiful, safe New Years. We will be going out for an early dinner waterside then home for a Yellowstone binge until midnight. At midnight we will eat the 12 grapes, throw out the dirty mop water and walk around the block with a suitcase. All silly traditions but now superstitious if we don't do them. YDS has to work today so I won't be able to sleep anyway until he is home. Aside from that SOMETHING is getting scrapped today and will be finalizing an ACOT order.
Be safe Cherries and have fun

When we have 90s,I walk in the mornings, too. I don’t wish for 90s, but would love the 60s and 70s. I walked yesterday afternoon, and the wind made it so cold, I didn’t last but 20 minutes!

Planning to watch football today. Also, trying to get some more challenges done. DH and I are feeling very lazy after hosting my whole family on Mom's side (23 people) on Sunday and then Christmas brunch with my brother, sis-in-law and nephews yesterday. lol We usually invite people for New Year's Eve, but tonight is going to be quiet with just the two of us. Some yummy charcuterie and other goodies. Enjoy the last day of 2024, cherries! (Wow...that year went by quickly!)

Yes, "pooples are stupid!" smh We are no longer in drought conditions after having tons of rain this past week...so mild for December in Ohio! But, people should still not be shooting off fireworks. LOL I hope you can keep the pups calm and nobody starts a fire!blbabe1234 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 10:37 amGood morning Barb! Having a chill day/night here too! New Year's Eve at home with my parents always involved card games. I miss those days, but without young people around, we are way too lazy, watching football and the boob tube. LOL Using candy for poker chips is a great idea! Have a great evening!Laura wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 11:05 amHello, Cherries!

Happy New Year!
we just got back from a few days in London so we have jet lag so not sure how late I will be able to stay up. We can watch the city fireworks from our roof and they have them at 6pm and again at midnight, so I should be awake too the 6pm version.after that we’ll have something festive for dinner that doesn’t involve much cooking and probably watch tv.

Superstitions, traditions....all good for the New Year! We will open the doors to let out the bad air and bring in fresh at midnight, eat our pork and sauerkraut tomorrow, and pray for a better year for everyone! I have never heard of the walking around the block with a suitcase! (Of course, it's usually freezing here, so we wouldn't want to do that. lol)aheatfan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 11:25 amGood morning Cherries, have missed you all. Happy New Year's Eve, cherries!! Later this afternoon DD is going to BFF's house for a movie marathon / sleepover. So DH and I will be on our own this NYE. We'll order some takeout (had a menu planned but is too much food for just the 2 of us and not something to be saved). We'll bingewatch Day of the Jackal (hooked on that show!) and play some games. I hope to do some scrapping after DD leaves and before DH gets home when I'm all by myself at home, uninterrupted LOL!

We were going to make homemade pigs in a blanket but with just the two of us it's too many. I guess we can save some. (Pillsbury dough and hot dogs - we can save that right?) For some reason for me, pigs in a blanket is the quintessential New Year's Eve food. I have the palate of a 5 year old LOL! I also have to have the traditional chocolate egg cream and pretzel rod, thanks to my dad over the years
I like your idea of betting with candy! Remind me to do that next year!! Last year DD got us a game of the Great British Bakeoff so we might play that. She's taking Spongebob Monopoly to BFF's.
Happy Scrapping!
