Scrap a Day, November 11th
I’m back Cherries. I want to thank you all for all of your thoughts and prayers over the last three weeks. My mom is at peace now, and we take comfort in the fact that this painful disease did not drag on and on and that she did not suffer. She was only in hospice for one week, where she was kept as comfortable as possible. The place was truly amazing.

I am just starting to try and get back into some kind of a routine. I spent the week recuperating from all the running around and emotional stress, and catching up on things here. I have a lot of catching up to do on the boards and will get to closing out my challenges and putting up new ones soon. Thank you so much to Brandy and Susan for taking over posting the scrap a day for me each day, and thank you to Susan for putting up the master list this month and to Brandy for posting this month’s goals thread. I have missed being on the boards and all my Cherry friends, but I truly felt all the love and hugs and prayers from all of you.

I would also like to mention that today we honor all of those that have served and are serving  our country, and we thank them all for their service and their sacrifices. I don’t even want to think about where we would be without them.

I hope you all have a great day my Cherry friends.

Re: Scrap a Day, November 11th
Nice to see you back, Barb.  Again, so sorry for your family's loss.  Hugs to all of you.

I'm thankful for those that have served our country's military.  I have quite a few family members in all branches that have served.  My brother was Army Airborne and cousins in Army, Marines and Air Force.  They've seen the worst and I am thankful they are still here with us.

I was away at my crop over the weekend and now need to catch up on the boards too.  It's next to impossible to keep up in the gallery.  So many awesome projects that just keep coming.

Today I will be taking photos to post of my weekend projects.  One is for Flasher's Halloween challenge.  The others are for the Turkey Trot.  So, it will be a picture taking day and unpacking day for me.

Barb, I'm so sorry for your loss.  Hopefully being here with this amazing Cherry family will bring you comfort.

Our house guest left this morning, so I'm going to spend the day in my scraproom.  Hoping to get some of Flasher's Halloween Party challenges completed before the deadline.

So good to see you back Barb. I have been where you are and it takes time.  And there is always someone on this board if you need a friend to hang out with, an ear to listen, or a hug. 🤗

OK well it’s Monday morning and my last week in Florida at DD’s.  Nothing going on today except DGD’s basketball practice tonight.   Older teen DGS will b back from his dads tomorrow morning and then DD taking half day from work and we’re all going to the Atlantic Coast for shopping and fun.

been teaching 9 year old DGD to crochet this weekend .  She’s trying but she’s as calm as spit on a griddle. lol. Younger DGS whose 7 is trying too but he’s a miniature jock and mostly just makes knots and laughs as he untangles the yarn.

when I first got here it seemed like 3 weeks would last forever and way too long to b away from home. lol. Now whoosh it’s almost gone and I can’t believe how quickly it has gone by.  I’m going to keep coming every year as long as I am able but those giant airports are getting more difficult to deal with every year.

have a merry Monday!

Hey Cherries 😊
Yesterday went pretty good at work and I'm grateful. My register locked up once and I had to re-boot it but that was my only hiccup so that's pretty good! 😊
Today's plans include a psych appointment at 2, and plan on finishing my layout for Flasher's Halloween Party. I'd love to do another challenge but I'm not sure if I can lol. I DO have a TON of supplies to put away! 😂
I'm having coffee now lol I was up in the middle of the night wide awake, hunting cherries lol! I slept in since I could. 😊
Have a blessed day, Cherries! 🍒 ❤️

Hugs to you Barb!

We went to Florida for the weekend, was nice to have some calm by the ocean and also saw some old friends which is always nice.

Unpacking and doing laundry today and I seem to be fighting a little cold. I really need to wear a mask on planes, I always seem to pick up a cold when flying.

I realized that I never picked a winner for my challenge las month, so I do need to do that, and get back to working on my vacation album.

Happy Veterans Day!

Thank you Charleneanne. I am so glad that you are having a good time in Florida with your DD and family. I remember when my grandmother taught me how to crochet. That was a long long long time ago and I don't remember how anymore.

Re: Scrap a Day, November 11th
Good morning cherries (almost afternoon here!). Barb, you know we are all here to help you out. It was my pleasure to post scrap a day and the goals for you. Continue to take your time and if there's ever a day you need a break...just holler. We are here for you and love you!

Thanking all of our veterans for all that they have done to protect our country. I've got many family members and friends who have served, but I do have my FAVE veteran! DH! 😍  I post his picture on FB every Veterans Day.

Been going a mile a minute this morning as I'm juggling quite a few (work) balls. Researching a feature; Testing a feature and then other things that are coming at me. Just thankful that the day is already half over!

I was trying to do all 5 challenges for Flasher's Halloween Party but I managed to get FOUR done. Which is awesome (for me) since I'm way too busy with work and life. So I'm happy with the ones I DID do!

Anywho...back to work for me. Adios cherries!

Hi Barb! It’s good to “see” you again. I’ve also been in your shoes. The feelings and emotions are incredible. Charleneanne is right that we are all here for you whatever you need. Take your time and don’t be hard on yourself.

And we’re all VERY grateful that Sue and Brandy took over for you. Thanks so much ladies!!!

And YES!!! Our veterans deserve all the glory and kudos and thanks we can give! All of my uncles, my dad, several cousins and many friends have served in different branches. We owe them all our freedoms!!!

I’m glad you’ve enjoyed your time with your family! Teaching your DGD to crochet is a memory she will treasure. I loved your analogy about her energy! :)

Airports are so crazy and Steve and I have realized how much easier it is to ask for help getting around them. It makes things SO much easier!!! I think it’s definitely the way to go!

Enjoy your day!!!

Hey Cherries! IT’S NOT RAINING!!!! Lolol!  The sun peeked out for a few minutes but it’s hiding again. It’s been so dark and gloomy that I haven’t been able to tell what time it is!!! So I’m enjoying the extra light today. :)

I got 4 of Flasher’s challenges done and I’m hoping to get the last one done today. I have some chores I must do first. Blech! Lol!

Otherwise not much happening here. I need to get back on my Christmas cards and finish them! And start my gift albums. Time is just flying by and I’m not as far ahead as I wanted to be. Lol!

Happy Veterans Day! We are so very grateful for their sacrifices!!!
