Hey Cherries. Sorry for the late post today. I was up early but been really busy moving things around. Got a text from my contractor yesterday that they were ready to repair my kitchen ceiling. All the work that was done removing the large fluorescent fixture that was up there and adding high hats and 2 pendants left a lot of patching that has to be done. I also have a cut out in a wall for the added switch that has to be repaired and repainted too. And my laundry room fixture was also removed and replaced so that ceiling needs work too. After they do all the patching they will paint the entire kitchen, laundry room, and mud room ceilings. So needless to say I had to move everything out of my kitchen yesterday, and left some last minute things in there that I moved this morning. All that is in my dining room right now. While they are here I am also having two big cracks in the wall in my den repaired, so I had to move a lot of things out of the den… pictures on the wall, vases, the doggie beds, all the baskets of doggie toys, etc. And yeah I think my doggies have more toys than Petco lol. All of that is in my craft room right now so I won't be able to do any card making for the WCMD challenges today and probably not tomorrow either. I hope to get to do some of them later in the week. But in the meantime… I can digi scrap!
Hope you all have a great day.

Hey Cherries CHILLY this morning, but less busy!
Yesterday morning was SUPER busy! Pesky adulting lol! Had phone calls before work, THEN I worked a long shift! I was tired last night lol!
I don't work until this evening, and I am gonna work on the art journal some more! I don't want to have it for too long- I KNOW everyone else is anxious for their chance, too!
On a side note, out Charlie cat came back again looking WAY WORSE! We suspect she got into a fight with a large dog- or there's some cruel humans around! I just would like some prayers for her. She's NOT happy staying inside, but she's awfully mangled and it's SUPER heartbreaking! She barely let us take a wet washcloth to her. Our car (and truck) are STILL NOT working - which is frustrating, yes, but moreso because most of my money is going to transportation back and forth to work, so I don't have anything extra for a vet bill until payday. Although, I'm NOT sure what a vet could do for her - she's drinking plenty of water and is eating soft food this morning. She IS a stray, technically, but we love her and are beside ourselves!
At any rate, have a great day Cherries! Praying for everyone in the path of Milton!

Oh that poor kitty! i hope she recovers quickly. Mine snuck out this morning, but she never ventures far. she's an indoor cat that just likes to test it out. She walked out the door, crouched down and stayed very close to the door...lol. I just picked her up and tossed her back inside.JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 11:00 amHey Cherries CHILLY this morning, but less busy!

Good morning,
I am so freaked out watching the news about Milton. I have a few friends in FL and I hope they will be okay.
Last night was a bust. No time after work. Picked up Jason and he wanted me to take him to PT. Dropped him off and my daughter and I went to Bob's to pick out a new dresser for her. She ran into Ulta, I ran into Joann's. Luckily, they had a lot of stuff on clearance and it was really picked over, so I only walked out with one paper pad and 2 alphas. Only spent $8.
I started on a page, but I was so tired, I couldnt focus. I should be able to finish it tonight. And now I have to work on Step 2 of the progressive challenge.
I'm making stuffed cabbage for the guys tonight. I'll have some leftover chicken.
Other than that, it should be a quiet night.
Yesterday also made day 4 that I did NOT get on the treadmill!!!!! UUGGHH!!!! But I did a LOT of walking at the pumpkin patch on Sunday. And then shopping last night. As long as I"m not just sitting around, I can forgive myself. But tonight for sure I will get back to it. It's been busy on the floor so the girl in charge has not done weigh ins for this week yet...which may be a good thing! lol

My other cats don't go very far at ALL! Except for Gizmo, whom we haven't seen in a month! It's NOT uncommon for Charlie and Gizmo to stray off for stretches at a time, though. I JUST wish they wouldn't go too far!

Oh yeah, Milton has me freaked out, too!!! (Praying extra!)
I think it's great that you're trying to get into better shape, even if you've missed a few days on the treadmill, you DID walk in the pumpkin patch, and that's definitely good! Good luck to you on the weigh-in, whenever that ends up being!
VERY good, too, that you were able to find a few things on clearance - but not too MUCH - sounds like smart shopping!
I hope you have a great day!
Penny is the adventurous one. She will step right outside the door and sit. One noise and she runs back inside...lol. Gus Gus - big baby - she runs as soon as the door is open. she is terrified of anything outside. If there is not a door or window between her and the outside, she is hiding under the bed somewhere.JollyHollyScraps wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 11:38 amLol Wendy! Late check in for me. Been busy. Finally got my suitcase totally unloaded. Talked with a friend that had a metal gate fall on her the day I left for Canada. she's in pretty rough shape. Also got my walk in. Kind of windy out, but a very nice fall day. Hoping I can now escape into my creating space.

Morning. Only 99 here today and the weather folks swear this is it for heat. Even predicting down to mid 70’s by the weekend. lol. We’ll see.
my DD and family live in Florida. My entire family here on the west coast keep texting me to see how she’s doing. Well she has lived there most of the last 30 years so she is fully aware, organized and as prepared as she can b. They are more in central Florida about 90 miles northeast of Tampa. Nowhere near the coast so no storm surges either. And I am wrapping them in prayer.
no ants this morning. Crossing my fingers on that. I have a bunch of errands to do today and probably should have gotten up earlier. Loving the gallery this week. So much talent on this board.,
have a good Tuesday

Seems crazy to say “it’s ONLY 99 today” doesn’t it?! But I hope the weather predictions are right for once!!! Praying for your DD and her family. Such a huge storm and right on the heels of Helene! At least she knows how to handle things to the best of her ability!
Keeping your daughter and her family in my thoughts. Glad she's inland because you don't want to be anywhere NEAR Tampa right now!Charleneanne wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 2:12 pmMorning.
