So what are you favorite scrappy techniques? What are techniques that you don't like? What do you want to learn?
LOVE
1. I love to do ink "smooshing", I think there is a real term, but I don't know it... But using my ink pads/mist/paint on plastic and wetting them down and then smooshing them onto my paper. Nice and easy with little mess or warping!
2. I love to fussy cut and am perfectly happy cutting away with my Fiskar finger knife to make something I want from what was designed by the manufacture.
3. I think in visual triangles, lol! I always design with this technique at least once per page.
HATE
4. I hate my Silhouette! I struggle because I feel that a collection should contain enough product and I should have enough creativity to create a full page without turning to cut files to spice things up... That said, I do have one and I've had many assignments that required cut files so I do use mine, but it takes too long.
LEARN
4. I would love to learn more mixed media, without the warping of papers!
5. I want to try that color pouring, seems really fun. Again, the mess is what is holding me back...

TECHNIQUES
Love to use ink to enhance dimension.
Love to scraplift layouts and use sketches.
The more layers the better...less is definitely not more in scrapbooking pages with layers.
Enjoy making my own accents with fussy cut PP instead of just buying the coordinating products.

I love stitching, layering, clustering, grids, using sketches and scraplifting.
I would like to learn more about mixed media and stencilling.
Hate...uh.......making decisions on what to use. So I like challenges that are supply lists or themes, or otherwise help me get out of my own way!

LOVE splattering on my pages & "clustering" ...is that a word? I'm learning to love pocket pages!! They take longer to make but I enjoy embellishing each little pocket!
& I'm attempting to take my very first PLANNER on vacation with me next month. That is something I've been watching on youtube.
& on the NOT SO MUCH list...Only thing I can think of is PAPER PIECING. I've never been good at it.

I love layers, misting/splattering, stenciling and sketches.
Like Wendy, I have mixed feeling about my Silhouette. Sometimes it cuts beautifully and other times I waste a beautiful piece of paper or perhaps just a piece of white cardstock but still it's such a waste.
I would love to learn out to use my sewing machine so I can stitch on layouts. I even bought the one Paige Evans uses and I still struggle. And I would love to learn how Wendy fussy cuts. Years ago when she was moving and downsizing, she sent me some slightly used papers where she cut out a small piece in the middle of the paper. When I fussy cut, I start at the edge and cut to the section where I want to fussy cut, wasting so much of that beautiful paper.

I hand sew but would love to learn how to machine sew on pages. I don't even own a machine but would love one!

I LOVE using mixed media on my layouts - from inks to sprays to gelatos using the packaging technique, modeling paste and stencils. I love the mist droplets and using pattern paper. And I LOVE sketches!
I really don't know if I "hate" any techniques. I'll give anything a try. If I'm not a fan..I move on.
I'd love to use my Cricut more. Its not something I need to learn, I've played with it tons and know how to do stuff. I just forget to use it.

I love experimenting with inks, sprays and paints. I hate that it warps my paper sometimes even with gesso.
I love trying new things but hate taking the time to learn how to do so.
I love my Cricut Maker but do need to spend time utilizing it to its fullest.
I want to learn more with sewing and different stitches.

I love to use stencils and texture pastes, splattering, machine stitching on my projects, layering & clustering, too! I also like fussy-cutting but don’t seem to do it a lot.
I can’t think of any technique I hate, there are some I’d like to be better at, using watercolors is one. I see other people’s beautiful work but mine ends up like a hot mess!
I’m learning more all the time that my Cricut can do, just did a layout recently where my Cricut wrote my journaling, and I love it! It’s a NSD layout for a DT so cant post it yet I’d also like to learn blending techniques, like with Copics. They are so expensive though, best I don’t get hooked on that! Lol

Techniques I enjoy:
1. inking – whether ‘smooching’ for a background, sponging edges, or stamping
2. fussy cut
3. hand made embellishments
Want more learning:
1. layering so it looks good
2. stencils – never think to use them
3. pocket pages setup
Don’t care for:
1. overly wet and involved multi media

Love ripping and distressing, layering and piling. hate straight lines and flatness, and clean white space, it just doesn't look complete to me.
Love mixed media and playing with stencils and paste and paint. just hate that it takes soooo loong to finish 1 project, and trying to fit a bunch of them in albums is a nightmare!
Would love to learn better stamping techniques. am not good at getting clean images or colouring them properly.
Would love to learn sewing tips / techniques / and the patience to use them! i have 2 machines, 1 is brand new but when i tried to sew my paper i broke 2 needles! it went in the closet.

I don't do techniques that much. Unless it is fast/simple and uses supplies I already have.

Oh that's funny that you got one of my fussy cut papers I go for the piece I want no matter where it is... I have found if it is in the middle of the paper I can easily cover that with a picture or embellishment and still use the paper!
My favorite techniques are stamping and coloring.
I hate heat embossing. I don't have a heat gun and do it int he oven - maybe that's why. I also don't like stitching, I like how it comes out but I don't enjoy doing it.

I would love to learn how to do the layering. When I try it never looks right so I just push it aside. I would love to do the stitching on the pages but still haven't mastered the sewing machine. There are so many wonderful techniques that I would love to learn but I just don't seem to have the ability to.

I thought of something I'd like to learn...how to use cut files!! I love the look of them!!

I love the look of mixed media on pages but do not like when they have big dark drops on the page or when the ink is running down the layout. It distracts me from looking at the photo. I love the smooshing technique. I use it from time to time. I am also into lots of layers!! I love sequins and enamel dots sprinkled around the page.
After watching several Shimelle videos I love the cut file look. Hers are doable for me.

I live to distress and splatter. Otherwise I hate the messyness of mixed media! Although
I like to use stencils and distress ink.
I love my Silhouette and have used a few cut files on my layouts! It has taken me a while to figure things out, though!
I am challenged to use pocket cards, but slowly figuring that out too! I will try almost anything once.
I am a quilter and sewer and therefore I don’t really do much sewing on my pages. It means I have to take a walk downstairs and change needles. Just lazy I guess, when I’m in my groove! And I certainly would never take the time to hand sew on a page.

I love mixed media! All kinds!!!
Hate the warped paper
Hate having to do gesso on the other side before using to stop the warping- who has time for that?????!!!!!!!
I love sewing by hand and machine on my layouts!!!!!
I love texture and dimension! So layering and popping up are definitely favs.
I would love to learn how to emboss better - I am not very good at it. I don’t know if I don’t have the right embossing ink or what but it never looks even....
