A border punch. I love them but hate spending that much on one item.

A paper trimmer.
OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

Punch kits from Martha Stewart, where you can get the corner punch as well as the border.

punches. I still haven't bought the one I've had my eye on, but maybe now I finally can/will, since I've got some scrappy tax refund to spend :)

Punches and glimmer sprays. I think the sprays are pricey for what I use them for.

enamel dots. They are seriously way overpriced for what they are, but I routinely toss over $5 for them.

Fancy embossing powders. They can cost up to 6.95 for a little bitty jar.

Single flowers.  Even though flowers are one of my scrappy loves, singles are just too much so I don't buy them.   I do go overboard on flowers.

Prima flowers...  sometimes there are only two to a pack but they are so gorgeous that I must have them regardless of the price!

Punches
Good quality stamps (even though I hardly EVER use them)
Twine (I actually got most of mine from groupon type deals that I've stumbled on)
Collections that only limited retailers carry and therefore is hard to find on sale (like the first paper release for Chic Tags)

Most everything else I can find on sale at some point.

Oh that is a good question!

albums, some border punches & trimmers.
Sometimes the trimmers really irritate me too because you spend all that money and they just don't work that well. Has anyone ever found a portable one that they liked?

Guess I have to add I can't spend the dollars on a second trimmer. ,Reason #1 is it yet another answer to this thread.

Second Reason: When my CM trimmer just had worn out I tried the rotary CM and hated it. I should have known better. ,I then search reviews and decided on the Fiskars Sure Cut Deluxe. I love it with the "I tract blades!" Those blades are incredible to get the exact measurement on a partial cut. I can't even imagine using a portable one as I am addicted to my new trimmer. Downfalls....as reviews said the cover over the base bubbles. Blades don't last near as long as CM. I have the CM ubber huge rolling tote as well as the shoulder tote. Lots of room for the trimmer. I carry a medium gathering basket with embellies, my Revolution and die notebook. Sometimes I throw my embroidery bag in the car so I have it if I need it.

I think the reason you have trouble with a portable trimmer is there is not the base to stabilize the larger sheet of papers with a smaller base.
