An altered clipboard question

Do you alter the backside of the clipboard? Would just a coat of paint be sufficient on the back. How do you all alter your clipboards?

I haven't altered a clipboard yet - but when I do, I will probably paint the back.

What she said. Paint. Most lasting probably.

Seeing as how I hung mine, I didn't do anything to the back of it. But if it's one I'm actually going to use, then I'd either paint it and add some rub-ons with a clear coat, or some paper & a clear coat. I'd definitely want to protect it with modge podge or spray on clear coat.

I'm thinking that I would paint it or use some kind of clear coat.

I've used both paint as well as paper on the back & Front I put on a layer of Mod podge over it as a sealer.

Depends on what I'm using it for...if it is an actual clipboard I will carry, then I do the back more detailed than the front (because there will be stuff clipped to the front. If it is to hang, then it is the other way around. I usually paint with acrylic on the less detailed side, to match the colors of the other side. Then, I coat it with Krylon Triple-Thick Crystal Clear spray. It is faster than Mod Podge, non-yellowing, and puts a nice shiny finish to protect it. I've found with Mod Podge that in humidity, it retains some stickiness after it is dry and paper can stick to it if left very long (found this out the hard way by ruining my hard work with some papers that were stuck in the clipboard!) So, even if I Mod Podge, I spray with a coat of the Krylon to harden it.
