I'm wondering who here has heard of Copic markers. They have fascinated me for a while now and there's a little learning curve to using them. Card makers use them and they are big with artists and anime artists. Anyway, my lss owner decided that some of the teachers needed to go to a training to learn to use them. So we went this weekend and they are awesome! I am now a Copic Certified. If you get a chance check them out: http://ilikemarkers.blogspot.com/
I think Jules was just used some of them- I'd never heard of them before. Looks like fun!
I read about them all the time when I blog surf. They appear to be all the rage especially among stampers.
I have heard they have a really big learning curve---- so you are going to teach us now that you are certified---right
Never heard of them. Please post some of your work with them so we can see what they can do!

I love them, belong to the copic club at my lss. They are the best markers I have used.
What makes them special Jen, besides the custom color feature? Do you have a sample of something made with them so we can see what they are all about?butterfly843 wrote: I love them, belong to the copic club at my lss. They are the best markers I have used.
I used to be a "celebrity cherry", but now I'm in re-hab...... Holy Carp!
I just started to get into stamping and card making and those are on the top of my wish list to buy, though I do not know the difference between them and other quality markers... A demonstration would be nice if you could show us or tell us what is so special about them. Can you blend with them? It another of the" I just have to have them" things but don't know why. lol

my LSS carries them.. and yes, they are fabulous... definitely nice for card making and coloring in your images.. Now I have something new to collect... like i need something to covet...
Hey Janet! I was just trained to be Copic certified as well!! (there's photos on my blog...I'm sure you want to see ...lol) Anyway, it was totally awesome. I had never heard of them either and fell in love with them right away. The learning curve is not that big compared to what you can actually do with them. I plan on doing some tutorials on my blog. I will definitely be buying some more. I've had so much fun playing today!!!
I have seen some cards made with them. The lss I shop at displays some cards made by the girl who owns Papertrey Inks. I have been wanting to buy some of these for myself.

My lss made the big jump and ordered them yesterday, so it will be 3-4 wks before I can get my hands on any....with the exception of the ones I received as part of my training. It's hard to describe, but there are NO marker lines like you get with other markers, you can really shade...which is really hard with markers. The color is just smooth.
I used them on cards in the gallery.
I think they look beautiful and I've been wanting to get some for coloring in stamps - I've heard they bleed through though. Any tips on that?
One drawback for me is the high initial cost.
We've had them at my LSS for awhile now - the owner printed the color grid on white cardstock so that people can color in the specific blocks to show true color. There are some pretty cool effects with blending.
