Throw a pizza, popcorn and movie or 2 at them and then lock yourself in a room and hold yourself hostage. You can do it!

Let dad spend some quality time with the kids.

I have 3 young kids...and no husband.  It CAN be done.  I don't get to spend every minute I'd like, but I get to do a lot.

My secret?  Kids craft kits, rented movies (so they are "new"), snacks they don't normally get and a clean toy room.  I cleaned their room for them (this always makes them want to play in it...and gives me a break), the craft kits will take me a few min to set up & clean up...but for the most part it'll keep 'em out of my hair and they don't feel ignored, the snacks are such a special treat they give me at least 15-20 minutes each time, and of course the movies...1 1/2 blissful hours at a time!

This is my 6th? crop I think and my kids have started to look forward to them as much as I do!!!

Good Luck!!

i agree with the kids crafts.  My kids are older now but the two younger ones enjoyed when i included them in my crop time.  My youngest DH even started his own scrapbook.  and my DD loves taking the classes. (this is back when Scrapbooksetc had there scrap-a-faire)

My friend and I are cropping together all weekend and want to participate, but we cannot find the list of supplies for the challenges and online classes.  Where are these posted?  Do you have to sign up?  Is there a fee?  We are totally new to this site and so excited about the weekend long crop!

It´s the same here, dad will take over most the time this weekend. It must be fair that dad have some quality time with the kiddoes 3 or weekends a year, so mom can get some scrapping done ;)

First of all WELCOME to ACOT!!!

2nd - go here:  viewforum.php?f=316

That has a bunch of threads about the classes (list of supplies needed); the schedule of events is posted there and the list of words for Bingos (if you want to play).

There is also another thread (the link is in the "Crop Schedule" thread) that explains a LOT of stuff.

HAVE FUN!!

Welcome!!

There is no fee... everything is FREE!  You don't even need to sign up anywhere.  Just jump in when the activities begin and you will be having a blast!

You can find all the class and bingo info HERE in the February Crop Forum.  As the crop gets started you will see more and more happening in there and that is what you will want to keep your eye on.

Don't worry if you find a class you are interested in and you didn't order the supplies. In almost all cases you can just use what supplies you have on hand or wait till later when ALL classes will be posted in article format on the site.

Most importantly... just jump in and have FUN!!
