Glimmer Mist colors
Texas mom posted asking about GM.  I have been seeing people use this a lot lately.  I don't have any but would like to get some.  Any suggestions on good colors to start with?

For me, it was silver and gold... Other colors have followed... I like the holiday colors so I can use them for cards, l/o, whatever :)

Bowl Full of Cherries

Re: Glimmer Mist colors
My fav by far has been Graphite! IT's silvery-darkish gray.  I used it on a bunch of halloween stuff. I also like the iradescent gold. It's all pretty, you should order one of each ! :winkb:
I used to be a "celebrity cherry", but now I'm in re-hab...... Holy Carp!

Re: Glimmer Mist colors
I think it's a good idea to start with what color you use a lot of.  I started with purple & pink...because I LOVE those colors anyway and use them a lot.

But like others...I've expanded quickly... :winkb:

I can't seem to find the silver bells color here.  Am I missing it?

Re: Glimmer Mist colors
I started with colors that I wanted to distress with and then moved on to colors that I use most often to scrap with.

I use a LOT of orange and green in my scrapping and I love Tiger Lily and Copper - they are gorgeous. You can mix Tiger Lily and Key Lime on the same page and get the most amazing colors.

I LOVE Candy Apple Red for a good red because it has spatters of gold in it and the same for Black Gold. You get black for distressing but it has a glitter of gold too.

I have a lot more but I'm sure others have their favorites to share.

Oh gosh...that's like asking me to pick a favorite child!

I will say that I LOVE Vintage Pink (dusty pink with a gold shimmer)
Pink Taffy (brighter pink with a silver shimmer)
Harvest Orange (Pumpkin color with gold shimmer)
Turquoise Blue (rich turgquoise with a light gold sheen)
Patina (lighter blue with a whitish silver shimmer)
Jazz Blue (bright blue with a silver shimmer)

oh, and Key Lime is my favorite green so far!

Coffee Shop...I am on my third bottle of that in 3 months.  Love it.  And sea foam and merlot are great as well.

I'm also a big fan of graphite.  Very versatile.

What color do you tend towards in your layouts?  I know I tend to use a lot of black, white, and various shades of brown/beige.  So I knew that I wanted something that I could use over & over!

Re: Glimmer Mist colors
after reading this I probably will want to go with more neutral colors.  I need a good brown, black, gold and then maybe a red/orange color.

Brown is going to be my next purchase (in 18 layouts)!

For this month's Trends & Techniques Challenge I actually used the glimmer mist samples at my LSS when I was doing some DT stuff there.  I was bumming about not being able to get more colors yet.

MUST SCRAP 18 MORE LAYOUTS!!  :winkb:
