 Between liquid chalk stamp pads and ink stamp pads?

I think the regular ink pads absorb into the paper where the chalks are just on the surface

Does that mean it would rub off onto papers on top of it?

 The chalks dry quicker...the other you can still use on papers but they just take longer to dry and the colors are more vibrant..Thats what I think anyway

 The chalk pads go on smoother and soak in a little giving you a distressed look like chalk, they don't seem as saturated. I like them for inking edges because if I use a regular pad more ink goes on and I usually get in on my fingers and smear it where I don't want it. With chalk pads that doesn't happen. I use them alot!!

 The chalk one dries REALLY fast and is more of a subdued color. So say you use charcoal chalk pad, it will be a light grey, whereas if you use the ink pad it takes longer to dry, but is more true to the color.

 I like the ink pads, like StazOn if my papers are distressed...ruined two brand new chalk pads in the last week...pulled the pad right off the plastic with the first side of the paper! Watch out for that!

 OK now that I've got that down, here's another question....


To ink my edges how should I be doing it? I shredded an ink pad already because I guess I was holding it wrong. (Perpendicular to the paper)

 I hold my ink pads at about a 45 degree angle to the paper edge...try to rub the pad on the edge rather than running the edge over the pad.  KWIM?

 i love the ink pads, they just finish your projects nicely. it takes longer 2 dry but its worth it. i ink just about every thing.

 Can't answer that one, I shed all of my chalk ink pads. Most have fallen off the plastic base and I have to hold the pad in my fingers. But then again I do have 3 or 4 of my favorite color. I ink edges alot.

I love chalk inks but have the shredding issue sometimes too.  Some pads shred easier than others, in my experience.

I reattach the pads with the big glue dots......they do okay for a while longer then.

 I've like the versa chalk inks and at least thus far haven't had the problem of the ink pad coming off at all.

 Just be gentler than I am Tracy...hopefully you won't have the same trouble some of us do. And I'm going to take a page out of Ronny's book and just use it anyway...they are definitely my new fave colors, can't hurt to have them color my fingers a little, huh?
