hi, i have to say that i am disgusted with martha stewart. i live in new jersey and i shop in michaels. i dislike the fact that she thinks her products are so much better that she decides when you can use the 40% off coupon on her items. what really ticks me off is that when the season is practically over is when then you can use the discount coupon. well, i have decided that i won't purchase her items ever and i tell everyone around my area not to. i'll say her punches are nice but i have a lot of punches i i like the ek success and the fiskars too. i had acutally sent her an email but of course no one replied to me. i have asked the manager at michaels if this was there doing or hers and they said it is totally up to her.l  i just want to know what you are all thinking of her and what she does? thanks

I just noticed Martha stuff at our AC Mopoe a few weeks ago, so have not sen much, but, she has very few things, the colors are bland.  I alost would not call it scrapbookin supplies even.  I don't know if AC did not have much or if she does not hae a lot, ut I only bought a pack of daisies.

I have never bought any of her stuff...I'm not particually impressed with it and I usually only buy stuff that's on sale and since her stuff is rarely on sale...I have none!!  I have no problem not buying from her!!  I'm with ya sister!

I've only bought a couple of things from any of her lines.... Just wondering if anyone knows if you can use another coupon (like from Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's, etc) on any of the Martha stuff?

I have to say I have always loved Martha Stewart's tips on decorating and cooking, but when it comes to scrapbooking...not so much!  Looking at her lines, I can't say I'm really attracted to anything about them, and she definitely does not understand that scrapbooking is about memories...it's just another form of decorating for her, I think.  Plus...her prices are ridiculous!

Edited to fix a spelling error! :-D

At my Michael's you can use the coupons on all Martha. Not sure why its different at yours, but I don't really think Martha controls that. Might want to ask the store.

As for her prices, she is no more expensive than any other SB manufacturer and I have been pleased with what I have purchased from her line.

Sorry that you are not a Martha fan.

I am with nene.  We have been able to use coupons on MS stuff for a while at Michaels.  I like that her colors are a little different...sometimes a change of pace is good.  :winkb:

I am not really too into her papers and embellishments but I love the glitter and her punches and a few stamps.  I too have been able to use the coupon on anything of hers for a long time now.

I am not a fan either. Not only do I have no respect for the woman after her cheating ways were exposed, her scrapbook stuff is too beige, bland, boring for me and while she does have a few cute bits it is absolutely not worth the way higher prices she charges. I hadn't heard about the coupon thing, but does she really need to stick her nose into her little scrapping business and be so chintzy? It's not like it's her entire living... blech, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I dont' buy it either!

We don't have her stuff here in South Africa, but I bought some journaling cards at Michaels when I was in the States last year, which I LOVE!!  I like her stuff, it's classic and I don't think she's that much more expensive.

I am not a fan either and actually boycotted Michaels for a while--just annoyed that they were carrying her stuff. At our Michaels you can NEVER use a coupon on her stuff. It is stated right on the coupon- no cricuit either. I have never and will never buy anything of hers--although I was given some of her glitter--I was going to throw it away, but I just couldnt do it and it isnt that bad.

I really dislike Martha and will absolutely refuse to buy any of her stuff.  When Kmart started caring her stuff I stoped shoping there.

I do not care for her stuff.  I did buy one of the glitters only cause its the only one they had in that color in the store but as far as the scrap stuff I'm not impressed.

It kind of disgusts me that here she is, this jonny-come-lately in the scrapbooking arena, and voila, she announces to the world that she does scrapbooking! It's really crazy. I have to say, I've seen some of her pages on the show and they are bland and basic. You can tell she's new to scrapbooking. She needs to stick to throwing parties...

I just came from Walmart!  I see where they have started carrying Martha Stewart scrapping stuff too!  I saw a lot of the scrapping stuff on clearance...wonder if they are going to fill it with more of her stuff.

I never have bought any of her stuff....haven't really found anything that was a must have yet!  But guess I'll keep looking!

I've never bought any of her stuff and I don't plan too. It's way over priced!

i personally don't like her stuff.  it's way overpriced and it just doesn't impress me much.  i do like the idea of a bigger sized paper so i can do a board with it but i don't like her papers.  i agree she's good with baking and such but i'm not impressed with her line of scrapbook supplies.
