Re: Scrap a Day, March 25th
Spent about 3 hours in my studio.  Mostly unpacking and putting things away that I bought since last fall.  smh  I did manage to clean off my desk, too. Sheesh....I remember why I avoid going there to do things, because it is SO BAD!  So many projects I just need to complete.  Maybe this summer, but probably not.  lol

Came in and did this layout for Penn's Bar Mitzvah #2 challenge.

Good morning Barb! Glad the sun is out today!

Feeling much better today. I think with the busy busy weekend I had, it finally caught up to me yesterday. I was tired, worn out, belly was a little tender. Just felt off. Didn't get a whole lot done either, but I'm okay with that. Slept better last night and already showered and had breakfast and my coffee. I'm on my laptop working at least for the morning - will see how I feel by the afternoon and if I move into my office or not.

Nothing else going on....kind of boring around here. LOL.

Hope everyone has a great day.
I’m glad you’re feeling so much better Brandy!!! And I’m glad you’re recognizing when you need to rest. Like you said you’re having more good days than bad! Big progress! It might take a little while for your strength to come back but it’s just because you haven’t been so active. Our muscles get weak a LOT faster than they build up! Go figure!!! Have a wonderful afternoon!!!

Woke up early and no big plans for today. Got my chores done yesterday. Biggest thing I need to do is figure out dinner. But, I did make a meal plan for the week, so that should help. Trying out a few new things. I get so bored serving up the same stuff.

It was raining earlier. But should be a decent day , headed into the 60’s. East coast gals , this warmer weather is heading your way. I am do ready. Grandson #2 had shorts on yesterday! But it was nice to walk in warmer weather with just a light breeze.

Working on reaching 31 layouts for March and just a few more to go. At 25. And still haven’t found the missing layout. Only now I now there are 2 missing.

Happy Tuesday!

That’s so weird you’ve lost 2 layouts now!!! Suppose there’s a layout gremlin somewhere down there?! I hope you find them soon!

It’s so easy to burn ourselves out trying to reach goals or keep up with challenges. There’s a LOT of REALLY good ones this month and it’s hard not to want to do them all!!!!! {{{HUGS}}} Leslee!

Still cloudy here, but at least the wind is gone.  I really need to make myself go up to my crafting studio above the garage and begin to clean it up!  It is terrible, because I buy things after school starts, but I really don't have time to go up there and do much crafting, so there are piles everywhere!  Plus, it wasn't really clean last summer. lol  I need to purge in the worst way!  Wish me luck. :)

Laura, I hope you can get that purging done quickly so you can have fun playing too!!!

Hey, Cherries!

We're not supposed to get out of the 30's today.  Spring, you say?  😂

I've got a pot of chili on the stove for dinner.  Actually, it smells so good, I might just take some for lunch!  I'll throw some cornbread in the oven later on.  I've also got butter on the counter coming to room temp.  I'm going to try and make a Lorna Doone copycat shortbread cookie recipe.  I've never made these before, so we'll see!

Have a great day ALL!
Chili and cornbread and Lorna Doone cookies!!! I haven’t heard of those in AGES!!! I remember them being delicious!!! I hope they turn out well!!!

Good morning!  I like to read all your posts, but then, I don’t have so much to say. I think I have been MIA for several days.  I am about burned out on creating/ crafting, since I did so much the first part of the month,  I am fizzling out.  I have been trying to organize my craft room so it will be decent while I am laid up.  Weather  today, will be 75, cloudy and maybe. the wind is not so bad for a change.  I have been trying to go walking every day,  and am planing to this morning, too.

I went to get my C-scan yesterday for the surgery.  Was real quick and painless.  Today,I begin the no supplements thing for 7 days.  It is getting closer to the big day!

Have a great day, Cherries!
Sharon, the beauty of the ACOT forum is that everyone is welcomed with open arms and that no matter your situation we’re all here for each other. It took me a little while to realize that. But it’s true. :) It’s so nice and refreshing!!!

Im glad your scan went well yesterday. And I’m praying for a successful surgery and a quick recovery!!! {{{HUGS}}}

I played Mahjongg today. There were only three of us since one of the ladies is on a cruise (her daughter is a travel agent) and one other is battling cancer and not doing well. This makes me so sad.

When I got home, I did this layout.

Hey Cherries 😊
I LOVE this part of the start of my day! I have my coffee and I check out the message boards and I REALLY do feel like I've been with you Cherries forever! 😊
The weather isn't the most favorable today but it's not as cold as it could be, and it's not raining as much as it could. (We're not flooded where I'm at, but I imagine there's still several places that are. There's more rivers and lakes and streams in KY than some people realize; I guess that goes for most places though?)

I'm enjoying my off days and even getting SOME THINGS done! LOL not everything is done BUT I got a decent start! I'm STILL managing to toss out a bit of rubbish, and I may work on my closet today but not sure yet
I'm SLOWLY clearing off living room shelves and moving things into the art room! (Things that aren't arts and crafts related are going on shelves in the living room.)
I've STILL got a long way to go, but it's exciting to be able to see EVEN the small progress! Since I'm still fighting this silly stubborn cold, (which Is ALMOST done!) I've been giving myself time to rest! 🤧 😂
I have a few phone calls to make today and will work on my art room for a bit. Therapy at 5, and I REALLY NEED to do some work on my collage!
I REALLY REALLY want to do every single challenge that's on the boards right now! While I'm a little annoyed by the chaos in my home now, I'm VERY excited to think about our art room being out together, and being able to knock out tons of projects! (And YES, I SHOULD PURGE! AND YES, I AM IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER NEW COLLECTION!!) 😂 😂 😂
☺️☺️☺️ I am getting extra hours at work again this week, too! I picked up a shift for tomorrow and I'm so grateful to have so many amazing people in my life. I mean, yes, there's times when I miss Omer VERY much, but God has shown me that I have more support than I EVEN realized!
The little things in this world make the big things, for sure!
I know we all have our ups and downs in life, and I'm so VERY grateful to share this world with you all!
Stay blessed, Dear Cherries! I hope you ALL have terrific days! 🍒❤️

Holly, you’re starting to sound like yourself again! I’m so glad that God is blessing you! And that people are helping you too! It must feel wonderful to be doing some cleaning and moving around and purging! I think putting things in boxes to deal with later is a brilliant idea!!! Keeps them contained and out of the way until you’re ready to deal with them!

Hope you’re having a wonderful day!!!

Summer, fall, winter, spring, The seasons rotate as each brings Its special beauty to this Earth of ours. Winter's snow and summer's flowers; Frozen rivers will flow come spring, There is a renewal of everything.
—Edna Frohock, American poet (1906 - 97)

going to b 83 here today.  Didn’t even have electric blanket turned on last night!  lol. But dropping 15-20 degrees tomorrow with rain.

thinking about heading to Home Depot this week and maybe getting some pansies for the little flowerbed at the corner of the garage.  Maybe getting some tomatoes plants too. I got my sunflower seeds in the mail yesterday-15 different colors-so definitely need to pull weeds and add new potting soil to the area where those will go.  My hollyhocks seem to have spread significantly from their place along the fence.  Lol. I’m always so enthusiastic about gardening in early spring and so tired of it by Labor Day.

have a thoroughly terrific Tuesday and share your smile
What a pretty poem Charleneanne! Pansies were one of my mom’s favorite flowers. I always think of her when I see or hear about them!!! I hope your garden does well! And so many colors of sunflowers!!! I had no idea there were any other colors until a couple of years ago!!! When they bloom please share pictures with us!!!

Hope you’re having a tremendous Tuesday!!!

Beautiful day today!  The sun is shining, it's 62 degrees and the neighbors are mowing the lawn!!  DH has a new mower being delivered on Friday so he is holding off but he may change his mind and use the old one!  Home for a short break after a birthday lunch with Katie.  Short lunch and lots of chatting!  LOL!  Heading out to get DGD in an hour to take her to dance dress rehearsal for her recital this weekend.  Hoping to craft a bit later this evening.

Sounds like a busy but fun day Vicki! Lunch with Katie must have been really nice! Hope the dress rehearsal went really well. Hope you get some crafty time too!!!

Re: Scrap a Day, March 25th
Hi Cherries! Late check in from me today. I was having a decent day yesterday until I went out to try and help Steve get the birds in the other coop. It was raining a bit so I walked under the deck as far as I could and forgot there’s a little bit of slope at the edge of the driveway. I stepped in that mud just right and down I went!!! OMG! At first I thought my left knee was broken because it hurt so much immediately. Steve was at the coop which is almost at the top of the driveway. We have about 3 acres here. I was about halfway through the middle. I started hollering for him and he couldn’t really hear me because a car went by just about then. I finally got his attention and he came as quickly as he could. Neither of us can run anymore! Lolol! Well then I was slipping in the mud so much I couldn’t get up even with using his feet as a a way to keep mine from sliding anymore.

Next thing I know here comes this younger man running around the cabin asking if we need help! He’s a neighbor farther down the road. Steve has met him and done a bit of work with him but I’d never met him. So they got on either side of me and helped me get up! Who knows how long it would have taken if Zach hadn’t come by!!! It was nice to finally meet him.

I was soaking wet all over my back and my knee really hurt but after leaning on a long pole and standing there for a few minutes I was able to get to the stairs and up them with no help. I got out of my wet clothes and laid down with a bag of frozen peas on my knee. It was really hurting by the time Steve hot back to me. He fixed a nice dinner and then got some cream we get from the doctor and some frankincense cream and tried to massage it for me. That helped but it was still hurting. So I took Advil and a Xanax to help me calm down and I was able to sleep. I woke up at 3:30 in pain so Steve got me a piece of bread so I could take more Advil. I slept until about 6:30 when I heard a chicken in front of the house. Went back to sleep and woke up at 10.

Steve made some breakfast and I took more Advil because it was starting to hurt again. It’s comfortable now but I’m restricted to the bed except for going to the bathroom which is just a few feet away from the bed.

I’m really bummed that I’m stuck in bed because I have a layout I want to do. There’s only a few more days in the month and I have more challenges I want to do. Hopefully in a day or two I’ll be able to get around better. I just can’t believe I fell again like dork! I’m just grateful nothing is broken!!!

Hope you’re all having a great day!!!
