Good morning Barb, glad things worked out with your car. Stay warm.

Feeling very lazy today but have so much to do.  Kindergarten cooties caught up with me and I'm fighting a head cold.  We had testing all week again this week and I am worn out. Weather here is about 75 degrees, I should not complain in light of what a lot of you are facing but it's getting pretty muggy here.

Hoping to get my new challenges up today and close out last months. Wishing everyone a great Saturday.
Hope you feel better soon Kristin.

Thanks Vicki, I forced myself to get up and clean then took a wee power nap. Feeling tired but better. I am not good at just resting. Now getting ready to work on my challenges.

Hey Cherries. Wow February 1st already. And we are getting cold again. Temps will be dropping down to the teens tonight, but right now our wind chill is in the teens. So who knows what it will be tonight. I’m in all day today. Got my car back yesterday and my mechanic did the oil change but could not reproduce the problem. It started fine and he started it throughout the day and it started every time. He did some testing like tested the fuel pump and it passed everything. So right now she’s fine. So hopefully it doesn’t happen again. He’s a good guy not only did he pick me up but he only charged me for the oil change, not for any of the testing.

Today I’ll be working on getting my Music Challenge up and getting last month’s closed out. I started the layout for it last night and was up late, so right now I’m feeling pretty lazy. I may sleep a bit more first. Lol.

Have a great day Cherries.

Brrr! Our weather is about the same! Looking forward to your music challenge!!! Stay warm!!!

Hey Cherries 😊 I'm up having some coffee. 44 today with abundant sunshine! Too bad I work later this afternoon! 😂
I woke up at 5 this morning in a bad mood but maybe slept some of it off. It is what it is.
Time ticked by too slow here at home yesterday. At one point, DGD and her boyfriend were both at work and I was home alone with just the cats. They're extra affectionate lately, or seem to be.
My mom and my sister are supposed to come see me again today. I'm truly blessed to have so MANY good people in my corner.
I can't believe it's February 1st ALREADY either! I'm gonna finish my layout for the rewind; idk when but it's so hard to JUST try to enjoy myself. I KNOW Omer would want me to, but it seems weird. 🤷🏻 I JUST KNOW that God will carry me through this!
Stay blessed, Cherries! 🍒 ❤️🙏🏻😊

Oh Holly! I cannot even imagine how you’re feeling ! I know the feeling of the silence though. When we first moved here there weren’t many year round residents and it was super quiet! It took me a year to get used to it. That’s NOTHING like what you’re going through!

Like Kristin said there are MANY praying for you! And remember we Cherries are here for you! Love, hugs and prayers!

Cold, grey, rainy - lovely day to stay home.  My sons who were not coming to dinner this week are now coming to dinner tonight after all.  Seems their plans were canceled by the rain.  However I’m just going to get some take n bake pizza and do a salad.

managed to actually do 3 challenges for January.  Going to the bull riding tomorrow and dentist on Monday so no crafty time again probably till at least Tuesday.

have a safe Saturday

Bull riding! I don’t get to go to rodeos much but I enjoy them! Have fun!

I can totally relate sweetie. My DH was a talker. Always telling me things and sharing everything about the sports he was watching, or the article he was reading, things like that. Always sharing with me. When he passed I found the quiet in the house to be deafening, if that makes sense. I HAD to put on music or something just to not "hear" the quiet. And it was a mixed feeling as in, like you said, I don't want to listen to music because I don't feel like enjoying myself, but I need it to quench the silence in the house. Hang in there sweetie, you are doing all the right things. Omer would want you to do whatever is best for you. So many ((hugs)).

Oh and my doggies were very clingy afterwards, especially Twinkie.  I never saw the saddest eyes on a dog. To this day she is still more clingy than she was beforehand.

Oh Barb! Lots of {{{HUGS}}} and prayers for you too!!!

Hi Barb!  I am glad your problem is solved.  With these fluctuations in temp sometimes condensation can build up in the fuel.  They have a product you can put in the gas tank for it.  It fixed my problem.  A cheap trail that doesn’t cost much.  An auto store can steer you in the right direction.  Good luck!

Thanks Sandy. I asked him if it could have been water in the fuel line but he didn't think that was it. Unfortunately he had to start the car to get it to the station, and he didn't like doing that because with it being here instead of there he didn't have the tools to test it and find the problem while it was happening, so if it happens again he said we should have it towed in so he can test it while it is experiencing the problem. Good thinking though because I thought maybe that was the problem too.

Don’t you hate it when that happens? But you’ve got an awesome mechanic so hopefully it’s all fixed now. A great mechanic is priceless! We had an awesome mechanic that lived next door to us in Florida. We wanted to bring him up here with us! He wasn’t too keen on leaving Florida! Lolol!

Hey Cherries! It’s bitterly cold here too! Plus a strong wind! Our outside thermometer says it’s about  20 here but the weather app says it’s 12. The sun is very bright so that may be why the thermometer is so different. Either way this house got COLD last night!!! Our turbo heater’s propane tank was almost empty so it wasn’t putting out much heat. So the bedroom was only 50 when I woke up at 8:30!!’ It’s warmed up quite a bit in here but it’s still chilly. So I’m sitting in the bed with the electric blanket and a small heater blowing on my hands to keep them warm. Lol!!! Steve keeps asking me how people handle the -50 degree temps up north. I don’t know! I just don’t think I’d survive that kind of cold!!! Brrrrrr!!!!!!

So my plan is to get all the new challenges copied and get myself ready for the new team challenge. It’s supposed to stay below freezing until next week so I may have to bring some scrappy things to the bedroom so I won’t go crazy from boredom!!!

Hope you’re all having a good day!!! Stay safe and warm!!!

Lol. It would be so hard for me if I didn't have him. My DH took care of car issues and the first time I had to have my car inspected I had to do it on my own. I called the station and he knew my DH and felt bad, and he's been taking care of my car ever since. DH knew many people and the things he used to take care of I now have to do, and I am so thankful that those that knew him loved him and they all have been so helpful to me. I am lucky he worked with so many good people because doing all these things on my own is so out of my wheelhouse, but they have all made it easy for me. I mean, I had to get a new roof, had a patio extension and drainage put in, had my entire house painted, have had flat tires and some car issues, and various business issues since he passed, and I have had to do it all without him. I couldn't have done it all without knowing all these great people that he knew and established relationships with. It was not easy for this introvert but everyone he knew has been so helpful to me. And I am so thankful for that. The hardest thing for me to do was the roof because I didn't know anybody that did that, but DD and my SIL had a guy work on their roof and they highly recommend him. And it worked out great he was wonderful. But I did have to get quotes and that was difficult for me, but my DS and I did it together and it wasn't so bad lol.
