Hi Barb! I am glad your problem is solved. With these fluctuations in temp sometimes condensation can build up in the fuel. They have a product you can put in the gas tank for it. It fixed my problem. A cheap trail that doesn’t cost much. An auto store can steer you in the right direction. Good luck!
Thanks Sandy. I asked him if it could have been water in the fuel line but he didn't think that was it. Unfortunately he had to start the car to get it to the station, and he didn't like doing that because with it being here instead of there he didn't have the tools to test it and find the problem while it was happening, so if it happens again he said we should have it towed in so he can test it while it is experiencing the problem. Good thinking though because I thought maybe that was the problem too.
Don’t you hate it when that happens? But you’ve got an awesome mechanic so hopefully it’s all fixed now. A great mechanic is priceless! We had an awesome mechanic that lived next door to us in Florida. We wanted to bring him up here with us! He wasn’t too keen on leaving Florida! Lolol!
Lol. It would be so hard for me if I didn't have him. My DH took care of car issues and the first time I had to have my car inspected I had to do it on my own. I called the station and he knew my DH and felt bad, and he's been taking care of my car ever since. DH knew many people and the things he used to take care of I now have to do, and I am so thankful that those that knew him loved him and they all have been so helpful to me. I am lucky he worked with so many good people because doing all these things on my own is so out of my wheelhouse, but they have all made it easy for me. I mean, I had to get a new roof, had a patio extension and drainage put in, had my entire house painted, have had flat tires and some car issues, and various business issues since he passed, and I have had to do it all without him. I couldn't have done it all without knowing all these great people that he knew and established relationships with. It was not easy for this introvert but everyone he knew has been so helpful to me. And I am so thankful for that. The hardest thing for me to do was the roof because I didn't know anybody that did that, but DD and my SIL had a guy work on their roof and they highly recommend him. And it worked out great he was wonderful. But I did have to get quotes and that was difficult for me, but my DS and I did it together and it wasn't so bad lol.
