Today's election day and it's the first time DD is able to vote! We'll be leaving in a little while to go to her old JHS, which is our voting site. She's excited about seeing her old school too. Aside from that, just running to the supermarket to pick up last-minute ingredients for her to try making homemade mac & cheese as a trial run before Thanksgiving. I am also cleaning up my scrap area so I can get started on Flasher's Halloween challenges. I just have to put the finishing touches on Sketch 400. I need some points since I just cleaned out my points with my last order
Exciting experience for her!  I remember our oldest daughter's first voting experience.  We lived in Indiana, stood in line for 2 hours and voted with a paper ballot and paper clip.  Wow, talk about antiquated.

How cool for your DD! ☺️ Voting for the first time is AWESOME!  ☺️ So great that you can share the experience with her! ☺️
Looking forward to seeing your finished LO, Anne-Marie! ☺️
Lol I have been using my points too! 😂
Have a wonderful day! ☺️

She thought it was like taking the state school tests with all the bubbles to fill in LOL! I still need to finish off that layout. Maybe some sequins or enamel dots or something like that.

I remember voting with the booth thingy that was like the shower curtain with the levers and the big lever that locked in your vote and opened the curtain. Back in the day when DS was little, I took him in the booth with me and he pulled the curtain / lock lever before I was finished!

LOL!  Too funny.  We voted today with a pen and the ballot.  X marks the spot and then scan into the vote counting machine.  I remember the electronic ones with the curtain too when we lived in WNY.

Good morning. I voted this morning, the line wasn't too bad but they were out of English language stickers so I chose one in some Asian language that I can't read.

The oddest thing happened to us last night. There is a Venezuelan take-out  restaurant around the corner from us where we order from frequently. They sometimes cater at the baseball stadium and they know some of the players (Ranger Suarez and others from that part of the world) and they sometimes talk to us about the Phillies. So last night I called to order food and said my husband was going to pick it up. Before I hung up he said, "Is this Louise?" then he proceeded to tell me that I was in a Phillies hype video and that he screen-shot it for me and has been waiting for me to call to give it to us. So he texted it to my husband when he picked up the food and sure enough there we are.I recognize the game because we had different seats and it was one of the worst game we ever went to. So the Phillies should not have used photos from that game in their hype video - maybe that was their problem.

So last night and this morning, I have watched a whole bunch of Phillies hype videos from this year to find which one we are in but I couldn't find it.

Anyway, I've been back to working on my Tonga album, here are the pages I have done yesterday and this morning:

and wold bats we saw walking around the island, they were so high up that they weren't scary but we think they kept the bugs away

Great pages Louise! How odd that the Phillies used a bad game’s video to hype the team! But how cool to be on a video too.

We have the ones you fill in the bubble and then scan it in. I always feel like I should get a receipt! I wonder if the curtain ones are a NY / East Coast thing? I kinda liked them! It really gave you a feeling of "doing something" you know?

Based on her birthday, she always knew her first voting experience would be a presidential election, but of course, not who! As for the mac & cheese ... it's a TikToc video from Tini, a girl who was on Next Level Chef a few years ago. There is soooooooooo much cheese in it - like 3lbs of cheese LOL! Gonna need a lot of Lactaid pills  but we love cheese.

Hi Cherries! I woke up with a headache and stuffed up nose. Blech! I’m going to vote in awhile. We go to the library here. They use absentee ballots because the only actual place on the island is at least an hour’s drive each way. Makes it so much easier for us!

Hoping I can play when I get back. Weather was sunny this morning and now it’s gloomy, raining and getting windy.

Hope you’re all having a good day!!!

Oh cool...you're a celebrity!  Love the album pages.  Yes, bats are good for keeping bugs away.  When we lived in WNY, we had friends that lived along Lake Erie.  They had bat houses all over their property.  The more bats they had, the happier they were because they went after all of the bugs.  Someone from our church made bat houses for our bazaar every fall and they always sold out right away.

I remember that kind of voting booth. I never used one, but when my parents went to go vote, they sometimes had me or my brother or both of us. I remember being in the booth with my mother.
