Happy Friday Cherries! I had to go get tags today and then a quick run to the grocery store. A family at our church had a death, so several of us are providing food for the family after the funeral service today. They requested finger foods so I made sub sandwiches and mini red velvet cupcakes. DH just left to take it to the church. I've got a few things I need to do around the house but plan on being in my scrapbook room afterwards and watching the Tennessee men play Kentucky tonight.... Go Vols!

How nice of you to do that. I am sure it will be very much appreciated by the family.
Good luck to your team! DS and I watched his Terrapins get knocked out last night : (

It's a beautiful day out after the heavy rains yesterday. Overall, we got 2 inches here. A nice, slow soaking. Thank goodness we don't live near the border in the valley. They got about 12 to 18 inches of rain! Lots of flooding down thereThe heaviest of our rains occurred on my drive home after the DAR lunch (which BTW was super yummy
). Took me an extra 10 mins to get home since we were all driving 50 to 60 mph (instead of the usual 80 to 90 mph). And my timing of getting off the exit to go home couldn't have been any better as I could see a 4-vehicle collision had just occurred up ahead at the intersection. EEEK. With that said, I was able to quickly take the turn-around, pull into the corner gas station and take a side street to head home.
We might get another pop-up storm in the late morning/early afternoon today, but it should be nice and sunny today. And for the OG's on the board, we are SUPER proud of Miss Penny Lane! During these storms, lots of wind and thunder so loud it rattles the windows. Crazy light show with the lightning. And guess what? NO Thundershirt and any other calming products!!! She managed to sleep thru all of it (if she was sleeping) and if she was awake, she was just chill as can be. No heavy panting or anything else.
Feeling good today. Slept in a bit too (just 45 mins passed my alarm). Just needed a bit more shut-eye. I've swept/mopped the floors and have been working for a bit. Still need to make up the grocery list and plan out next week's meals. Hoping for a quiet work day. ")
Hope everyone has a great day.
That is wonderful for Penny! Miss Eliza was not happy at all with our storms this morning. Some thunder that shook the house. Thankfully, the weather was better this afternoon.

LOL I slept a little late, too!I have a tendency to wake up about 4 or 5 am sometimes and yeah, usually when I have to be up at 930 for work. LOL I slept through my alarm so thankfully woke up at 10. Coffee now and I have to get ready for work soon.
I got a few more things moved around yesterday and so happy to make some progress! I didn't do as much as I wanted but I did get a little tired so I took a small nap. Spent time with my friend, too, which was nice!
I have to start getting ready for work soon. Stay blessed, Cherries!![]()
Glad you got to sleep in and I hope work went well for you!

Our weather has been all over the place and I’m just ready for spring! lol. Congrats to your grandson and glad everyone had a fun time!MTCanuk wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 1:23 pmOur nice days are over for now. It is grey, rainy and only in the 30's. Will put on my raincoat soon and head out to walk. We don't have pick up patrol today as the grandkids are off school. They had a fun evening last night. It was bingo night at the school. The 6th grader always is so disappointed because he never wins a thing!!! But yesterday he got 2 awards at school. And he never told anyone. It was his teacher mentioned to his mum, it was his lucky day. And then his mum got a BINGO, which he immediately claimed as his. And got a huge basket full of craft goodies. He will be busy for a couple of days. And then the minion got a door prize. So, everyone left happy.
Doing laundry. Want to make hot cross buns, And leftovers for dinner.
Hope your Friday is awesome!

So glad you were able to get them into the coop and that your are feeling better!GinniG wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 2:07 pmHey Cherries! I’m doing better today!
Last night when Steve was putting the birds in the coop for the second night in a row one of the geese refused to go in and got the other 3 to come back out. So I put my boots and coat on and headed down the stairs to help him. We have about 3 acres here and the house is at about the 2/3 point. The geese were already in front of the house. By the time I got to the stairs they were at the bottom of the stairs. They saw I had bread in my hand and wanted to come upstairs. Long story short I got a long pole and herded them all the way to the coop and straight in. THEN I gave them the bread. Lolol! Steve saw me when we got to the cabin and so he walked with me. It was funny how easy it was!
But I did it! Most of the way it’s uphill and around the coop it’s tree roots and boards that have been there a long time and are sometimes sketchy. So I’m pretty happy about that!
Anyway I’m really hoping I can play today. I got my recent order and I want to PLAY with it!
Have a wonderful day Cherries!!!

You are so close…I hope you finish! I know I won’t but I didn’t get started until the middle of March, so I don’t feel too bad about it.

Looks like your Vols were on it, tonight! Didn’t even seem like Kentucky put up a fight. Enjoy the Elite 8!
