Scrap a Day, August 2nd
Hey Cherries. Beautiful day here today. Sunshine, 73 degrees and no humidity. I made a lot of progress moving my scrap room and working on filling up the Dream Box yesterday. I’ll be working on that more today along with doing laundry.

Have a great day Cherries.

Re: Scrap a Day, August 2nd
Beautiful day here too. I went for an early walk and now I am going to write down the August challenges. I hope to scrap more in August than I did in July, which isn't saying much. I'm going with Zach on some errands today before he heads back to school. Benjamin is trying to get a head start on his college applications before school starts. I'm quite short of sleep due to all the Olympic watching, but I enjoy it very much and it only comes around twice every 4 years ( I enjoy the Winter Olympics also). We woke up early to watch Sydney Mclaughlin run in the semifinals in the rain. For those of you who follow track, she's the local girl from the neighboring high school who is now the world record holder.

Have a great day!

Re: Scrap a Day, August 2nd
Good morning y'all. Staying in today with extreme heat indexes of over 115 and waking up to 100% humidity. Been busy with emails and getting feedback from staff since they took Friday off and Friday was when the massive roll out of new features went LIVE. So now I'm getting bombarded. Oh well.

DH had his follow up appt with his surgeon and she thinks he's right on schedule with healing. Still has to wear the brace but now is able to use 1-lb weights for strength. He also has a consultation appt with a Physical Therapist for exercises. He'll go once, then they are supposed to send him home with exercises to do.

Other than that, nothing else going on.

Have a great day!

Re: Scrap a Day, August 2nd
Hey everyone! Been super busy most of July. Oldest granddaughter Makaylee found a little house to rent. No particular reason other than wanting to be on her own. It was a little fixer upper. So, in exchange for a few months free rent plus some cash for supplies we've been cleaning and painting and replacing all the plumbing fixtures in the bathroom and kitchen. Also a couple doors needed replaced. She also put in carpet in the living room. Lots of long hours for the past couple weeks. She's all moved in and about the only thing left is to work on the outside. No one has lived there for several years, so it needs a power washing and painting. Her other Grandpa is supposed to be starting on that, but we'll jump in and help too. She's been working at WalMart as a picker/deliverer as some of you go 'pick up' there. She'll still be going to college starting sometime in August and I'm praying she can go in person. It was hard on her last year not having the college experience with meeting new people too. She was pretty much doing an online college course.

We've had a very busy weekend. Started out with a surprise birthday party for our youngest DD Michelle on Saturday evening. We went out to a Japanese Restaurant with most of our family. It was really fun! Then, yesterday I had planned a semi-surprise Retirement Party for our whole family for DH Brad. He said he was getting the feeling in the last couple days, but it was still fun. Some of the grandkids stayed overnight and helped decorate yesterday morning. With 9 grandkids it gets pretty rowdy considering 6 of them are boys! Whew! Now hopefully we'll have a quieter week.

Hope everyone is doing well and I've been thinking of Susan with her surgery today.

Congrats to her. We have a wrestler from our club in the Olympics. Trying to stay off social media so I can see it live tonight.

Re: Scrap a Day, August 2nd
Happy Monday. Woke up early, finally got everything back in place after the party. Hopped in the pool and five minutes later it started raining. Watched some female wrestling this morning, so excited for Adeline Gray.  I have been really limiting my time on social media because there are always results posted in the morning before it is on TV. Hoping to scrap a bit today because tomorrow I have another workshop for back to school which is getting here much too soon.

I wake up early and watch the Olympics live. I'm naturally a morning person, but its exhausting because I'm also staying up late at night.

Enjoying the healthier air and less extreme temperatures out here in Seattle. And of coarse, my DD’s company. She and her husband are both working today, so I am keeping busy with my sewing machine. Went for a walk too.
Another couple wildfires now burning in MT! It’s bad this summer.
Catching a few Olympic events too!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Monday! I have been watching and enjoying the Olympics, too! Watching women's basketball now.

I have a new YouTube video out featuring my Traveler's Journal. I shared 20 pages from my journal. So fun! Hope you all check it out. :)
