The difference?

I'm sure tomorrow might be a bit slow, since most peeps will have peeps for company or doing other kinds of 4th celebrating, so I thought I would ask today!

What do you call them, and why?

Photos or Pictures?

I use both terms equally. I take pictures but when I print I tend to say photos.

Most of the time I say 'pics" but only because I am from the south, hot and lazy!

I tend to use them interchangeably, but I think I say pictures more. Probably should say photos, since pictures could also mean artwork! lol

Pictures most of the time,probably 95%. I do use the word photo though.

For everyday images and events, I say pictures. However, for professional images (photography sessions) I say photos. Not really sure when or why I started that.

I don't know that there is much difference to me. I usually always say pictures......

Interesting question! When I verbally talk about photographs, I usually say "picture," as in "let me get a picture of that." When I'm journaling, though, I usually say "photo" or "photograph," and I think I also lean towards using these two words when writing. I feel that "picture" also refers to artwork.

Never really thought about it; probably "pictures" more but I also use "photos" a lot; pics when I write on FB on forums or text messaging.

I'm about the same here. And I usually type 'pics' just cuz I'm lazy.
