I'm sure there are some things that the newbies need to know before the games start on Saturday. I'm looking for the links or good instructions (which I'm bad at) and any more "how tos".

I couldn't find the post where Brandon told us how to upload using the mountain view BOX and quote with the red arrow.

to cut and paste from the gallery/store: right click on subject, drop menu will come up, click on "COPY IMAGE URL" 
make sure you have clicked on POST REPLY where you want to copy the image to, click on the box with the mountain view, a box will come up to copy the URL and click OK.  The image should appear.

If you want to link your image back to the gallery/store: go the gallery or store and highlight the URL at the top of the page, right click and a drop menu will come up, click on COPY, go back to your post and highlight the image (it will turn blue), then click on the chain image, a box will come up to paste the URL and click OK. The image should still be blue, take your cursor and click somewhere in the message box so the blue goes away. Now your image is linked.

Joannie  - I'm gonna grab this link and post it in the NSD Master List that's full of hints/games. This will help the newbies if it can be found in one spot.

Newbie here, I'm hoping someone can help me.  I am trying to link something from the store--post a picture.  I think I followed the directions but can't get anything to post except for an x!  I can get something to post from the gallery but not from the store.  Please help!

I will try.

Over the image, right click and a menu will drop
click on "copy image URL"
Go back to your post and click on the box with the mountain scene in it
right click where the cursor is blinking and a menu will drop
click "paste" and the image should show up!

If that doesn't work, try another image! Because this should work from the gallery and store!

I remember my first NSD here, I had problems and Cherries were taking time out of their NSD to help me. This is such a great group of scrapbookers!

I'm having problems copying links and pictures.  I get the message that my browser setting (Chrome) won't allow.

Thank you so much!  I finally got it to work on something.  I still don't know what I was doing wrong but hopefully it will work when I need it to!

I don't have that image location option either. I'm using Windows 7, is that what you're asking for?

That would be your Operating System.

Your "browser" is what you use to open up the "internet".  Is it Internet Explorer? FireFox? Google Chrome?
