The week I was born it was Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. I don't recognize that title, but it sounds like a good one for seeing your first child for the first time!

One of my best friends sang it for my (first) wedding--very romantic!! Our pastor asked her to leave a verse out!

According to Billboard Magazine, it was My Dreams Are Getting Better All the Time by Les Brown
Sentimental Journey by Doris Day & Les Brown was also very popular that spring. May 1945
