For those that haven't heard, my 7 year old has a horrific infection in her hand. She just went to the doctor and the diagnosis is in...a bacterial infection with a secondary herpes (think cold sores) infection
Her dad had to take her, so i will try and post a pic when she gets home. It is gross and UGly, though This is actually WAY better than this morning
Awwww..poor kid. If she ends up getting cold sores alot now, my dentist gave me a prescription called acyclovar (or something close to that) that I start taking as soon as I feel the tingle in my lip that indicates one is coming and it really helps dry them up faster than on their own.

one of my other daughters had a friend over with a cold sore last weekend. The ped said it is very common. Delaney has bad ezcema, and it was already cracked open, so it was just waiting to get infected. Or...it could have happened at school....no one knows.
Poor baby! I hope she's not in pain. If it's not her texting hand, tell her she can text Bella.

Oh Pam, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's a good thing dh took her to the doctor when he did. Those types of infections can get really nasty fast. I hope she gets better soon. Please keep us posted on how she is doing. That is so scary.
