So, just for fun, which did you like better? Van Halen with David Lee Roth or Van Halen with Sammy Hagar?

I think David Lee Roth made that band! LOL! I am currently listening to a duet with Mick Jagger..."Dancin' in the Streets!":-D

Ok, I waS one of those people that thought DLR could never leave the band and it would never be the same, but over the years, I grew to absolutely LOVE Sammy and his sound.

I have never resolved that issue, personally. I like to think of them as two different bands...and I love them both equally. DLR and Sammy are just so different in their vocal style and stage presence (ableit, I think they probably both love the tequilla) they're too hard for me to compare. To me it's always been like apples and oranges. But their both SWEET when they get a mike in their hands!!

Hmmm, you didn't even list Gary Cherone as a choice.

Definitely, David Lee Roth. I saw them live 3 times with him in front and he was amazing. Personally, preferred Sammy Hagar's solo stuff to his Van Halen catalog.

I have been a Sammy fan forever . . . so I, by nature, must go with Van Hagar. Though I got to see them both in concert on the same night once. Have some great photos to scrap from that night.

Definitely David Lee Roth. He made the band. I didn't like any of his solo stuff though. I loved Sammy Hagar when he was solo before he joined Van Halen.
