I just got The Alchemist as a gift a few months ago. Being in school, I don't have a lot of pleasure reading time but this book was a slow start. It seems very interesting though. I haven't finished it yet.

I like Nora Roberts books, too. Though Stephen King and Tom Clancy are my favorite authors.

davsar wrote:So from my list of 100 books what percentage do you think you have read?

I think I've read about 75-80% (unfortunately can only recall about 35% of what each are about) If only I had a memory!!

I am impressed that you have read that many of them. I may be at about 40%

Did you miss the whole deal with our wonderful governor in South Carolina Mark Sanford who was MIA from his office and staff in June supposedly hiking on the App. Trail & really he was in Argentina with his mistress? The wife wrote a book. The divorce hearing was yesterday - thank God that the media requests for it to be televised live were received too late - still was a media circus, though.

See - good reason not to watch the news!! :)

I'm glad it wasn't televised also. The news at this point has wasted enough time on it.

It is very interesting - he definitely is a more serious writer. Get through it - it's worth it!!

As far as fave author...I'd have to say Patricia Cornwell. But then, I like a lot of different authors...it depends on the genre.

I'll pretty much read anything! My dh gets upset because I'll sit and read the back of a cereal box instead of talk to him in the morning :-D
