I can't find it, it's chirping or croaking or something. I can't tell if it's in the cabinet, behind it or in the attic but it's driving me, the kittehs and the dog crazy!!! Arrrrgggghhhh.. I'm afraid to look, afraid not to look and don't wait to scrap because it's annoying and frightening all at the same time - this from someone is NOT afraid of spiders or snakes.

Is something needing new batteries? DH is a bug man and once they got a call for crickets driving them crazy and it was the smoke alarm needing new batteries. Hope you figure it out!

I was going to say a cricket or a frog. Snakes and spiders don't make noise. Mice/rats make scratchy sounds.

I'd say to send in your dog first...but if your dog is anything like mine, he's a big chicken!! My Boo barks like crazy and is a BIG dog - but look him in the eye or take a step forward and you'd swear he was some teeny little wuss! 
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.

Well, after playing around in the cabinets and then up in the crawl space - we found ......
NOTHING! Absolutely nothing.
We've had torrential rain for days now and I guess something got up there and either died or made its way back out again but it was a terrible noise!!
I was thinking a teeny tiny trapped bird - have you had one trapped in your crawl space before? They make a terrible racket - but nothing was there.

whew, i'm glad it wasn't anything scary 
i had this happen once....weird noise. turned out i had a BIRD in my laundry room! no idea how it got there but i rescued it by sticking it in my tea pitcher (empty lol) because it had a lid...and taking it outside.
