There is another way to go about distressing your papers. It is very similar to dry embossing with the exception that at the beginning of the process you spray the paper with water. (I couldn't find a spray bottle so I used the spray button on my iron. ;) ) You then crumple it up:

Oh... I haven't tried this before!

Me, either, lol. I tried it for the class for the first time. I think the results are very similar to the dry technique. It is more work, too. :winkb:

Next, distress the edges of the Red Houndstooth rectangle, the scalloped Grandma's Apron strip and a Making Memories Journaling spot. You can substitute another journaling piece or leave it off. Completely up to you.

I have that very some blackbird paper and was wondering what to do with it. Now I know. I must admit that distressing a beautiful piece of paper like that does make me a bit nervous. LOL

You're welcome, Jan. I am the same way with techniques. I like seeing exactly how to do it. Sometimes I over analyze directions if I don't have the visuals.

In the beginning, I was too. Think of it as enhancing instead of distressing. It sounds less intimidating. :winkb:

I've actually created templates onto posterboard of most of the die cut papers I've purchased.
