My son had a cabbage patch look alike that my sister made for him. He named him Billy and refused to sleep without him until he was a teenager (don't tell, but Billy is still in his bedroom near his bed! LOL!-of course, he is away at college right now and Billy stayed home with me!).

I came from a large family that didn't have a whole lot of money so my parents got imitation cabbage patch dolls.  I still remember them because they looked like they had plastic snot coming out of their nose.
