The cards this month brought lots of "love" to this challenge. I loved each and every one of them. However, there can only be one winner chosen by Random.org. The WINNER is Wazzu94. Congratulations, I will send out your $5 GC shortly.

Valentine's Day is coming up in 6 weeks. How about making a card to mark the day? You must use either the word "Valentine" or "Love" as part of your sentiment. You don't need to use a heart on the card unless you want to. The twist is to use something with a lacy look on the card. It could be a die cut, doilie, stamp, stencil, embossing, patterned paper with a lacy look to it. Use your imagination. If you use actual lace (made of material) you will get an extra entry. I will use Random.org to select a winner of a $5 GC from me.

Here is an example. I used a lacy look in several elements of the card. I used actual lace below the sentiment, lacy look of the leaves and flowers die surrounding the sentiment, and I think the card base looks kind of lacy, too. All in all, I think I managed to keep this card masculine by adding the dark leaves behind the sentiment die.



GUIDELINES:
1. ONE card per Cherry permitted.
2. You may combine with ONE other monthly challenge that allows it.
3. Your entry must be a new card never before posted.
4. Your sentiment must include either the word "VALENTINE" or "LOVE". 
5. Something on the card must have a LACY look.
6. The deadline for entries is Midnight, January 31.

I thought I was putting this into the January Challenges forum. When I clicked on the January challenges my post came up. What forum is it in?

been extended into January.

Love your card!!

I used paper lace with real white lace as a center border.

Also entered in the Taylor Swift Challenge.

I started making Valentines and used the new Doily lace edger from Sizzix/49 and the word love on the CB sentiment banner.

Oh my gosh this gift is so cute. Is there another similar design?

The front of the card, using a lacy type of die from Marianne Designs.  Below is the inside of the card.

I tried to make my background look lacey and I used a doily..

Thanks for the challenge! It got me to use some lace and some twill ribbon I've had for years!
