ACOT Message Board

Customizing your signature is just a few steps away! Follow these instructions to add your name, blinkies or SMALL photos that will appear at the bottom of your posts on the Message Board. Let's get started.

First, go to your USER CONTROL PANEL- you will find the link near the top right of the screen. (NOT the
link for My Account, it's lower down under FAQ & MEMBERS, right about the RECENT TOPICS list.)




Once you are there click on the PROFILE tab then the EDIT SIGNATURE link on the left hand side of the screen. You will be presented with a box that looks like this:







This box works exactly like the box you would see on the message board. If you want to have just text, all you have to do is type that text into the box and click SUBMIT. To add an image (like a blinkie) go to How To Add an Image to a post

Once you're happy with how your signature looks, just click SUBMIT.

Note: You have a 400 (changed from 255) character limit in this box. That INCLUDES all the characters in the web addresses if you're using links or blinkies and their code.

I tried to edit my signature as per your instructions above, but it does not allow me type in the block, does my account need to be verified first...help please!

I am trying to create a signature. I can find my profile, but I am unable to find edit signature. Can anyone clue me in?

Under your name in the upper right, click on User Control Panel....Profile Tab.  The EDIT SIGNATURE is listed 2nd on the left just below Edit Profile.

Nope.  Not working for me.  All I see is Edit your Bio.

Make sure you are looking for your name next to the "Private Messages" link and not the large "Hello, Laura" banner at the top. 

Once you click on "User Control Panel" underneath your name and little icon, you will see a page that says "Front Page".  Across the top there are tabs.  The second one to the right says "Profile".  Click on that.  On the left hand side of the next page there will be a menu.  The second choice down will be "Edit Signature".  You can add your signature there. 
 

Nope, nope, and nope.  There is only Edit Bio.

Then again, I also had problems with joining the Forum.

Sorry it's causing you trouble.  When using the steps Vicki and I gave, I do not get the "Edit Your Bio" link.  I only get that link when going through the main account link.  Hope it gets ironed out!

Sue, here are some pics that show what you should see/do.  If you don't have any of these options, then I would message ACOT.

1. Click on the down arrow next to your name.


2. There should be 2 options in the drop box.



3.  Choose "User Control Panel".



Sometimes I find that it shows like this.  Just expand the overview by clicking on right side of it.  This is what it looks like on my phone too.



4.  Click on profile and you should see the edit signature tab.



5.  Next click on the edit signature and you should see a box where you can type in what you want.



Again, if you are not seeing all of these features, I would contact ACOT  Hope this helps.

Thanks, folks, but I give up!  I followed step by step, with a big ripe raspberry thrown in my general direction.  Oh, well.
