Layouts of the Week - 9/29/08

For the 4th time...
I'm always amazed at the diversity of scrapping subject matter that I see in ACOT's galleries! This week I chose to pick the 'Layouts of the Week' based on subject matter - FUN! Both of the layouts below made me remember how much fun it is to be a girl...and really, for me, scrapping should be all about the little stuff and not just the big moments!
Shoe Diva by scrap-4-life
I love the distressed edges on Julie's layout, and the mix of paper she used for the layers! The cluster of vintage embellishments and the journal strips layered on top of the miniature red bracket paper lend the perfect touches! What a fun layout to look back on when the shoe diva is a teenager!
Warning: Drama by Cimorosete
I love the way Danielle Young's Drama Queen kit was used here - perfect subject matter! The funky colors and stars go so well with these photos of girls having fun playing Wii! The funky frames and bracketed quote are the perfect embellishments here, and this layout will surely make the girls laugh someday when they look back!
