This matte finish look is quite popular right now. If you have Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5 or CS6, you can use these to make your own images look like the ones in my samples.

The set includes 4 actions: 2 color and 2 black & white. Each is in layered format with groups, and they are fully adjustable (not to mention super fun to play with).

Only have PSE. But I'm sure they would be fun to play with if I ever could afford the full Photoshop!

Adobe now has the Creative Cloud. So you could join that for a relatively low monthly fee. I think it's $19 a month for one program....perhaps less if you join with a student ID.
