Amanda knows pain. When her daughter is abducted from the park and then found dead in a ditch a few days later, Amanda thinks her life cannot get any worse. Then, two weeks later, her husband takes his own life, blaming himself for their daughter’s death since he was the one who had taken her to the park on the day she was kidnapped. After months of obsessively trying to convince the police that their chief suspect is, indeed, the killer, Amanda is sent to court-ordered therapy in a group for parents who have lost children. In the group, she meets Wendy, and they quickly bond over their shared grief. 

In another part of the city, Ruth knows fear. When her home is invaded and she is brutally attacked, the only thing that saves her is the ambulance sirens arriving for her neighbor’s medical emergency, which scare her attacker away. While Ruth doesn’t remember anything about “the incident”, she DOES remember the searing blue eyes of the perpetrator. Now every man she sees who has blue eyes renders her paralyzed with fear that he is the one who hurt her.  

What is one to do when personal tragedy alters your moral code to the point where you’d consider committing “the perfect crime”: if you kill for me, I’ll kill for you. How far would you have to be pushed to commit murder to avenge the ones you love?


OPTION 1: TRUE BLUE
“The Man with the Blue Eyes” is a prominent character in the novel, so for Option 1, make more than half your page blue. This can include solid cardstock, patterned cardstock, embellishments, alphas, anything really, as long as 50% or more or your page is some shade (or a combination of multiple shades) of blue. 


OPTION 2: BOOK TO MOVIE
The basic premise of trading murders in Kill for Me, Kill for You is based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1950 novel Strangers on a Train, which was later made into a movie by Alfred Hitchcock. Through the years, many MANY books have been adapted into movies, so for Option 2, use the list found at this link, choose one book-to-movie title that speaks to you, and use it at the title of your page. The subject of your page does not have to have anything to do with the subject of the book/movie. For example, “The Green Mile” is the nickname given to Death Row in the Stephen King book of the same name, but you might use it as the title of a page about a lush field or a one-mile race you ran. There are 600 book-to-movie titles listed at this link, so plenty to choose from!

I read this book - I liked it, but unfortunately I was able to guess the ending midway through the book. I went with "Gone Girl" for my title (kinda as a tongue in cheek moment in Walmart).

I used option one for this one.
