You must have completed step 2 before you continue to this step.

For this step:
1. add 1 or more pieces of patterned paper. You may overlap  the stencil and stamping bit you may not completely cover it.
2. add your photos, tucking 2 or 3 embellishments behind one of the photos
3.OPTIONAL  If you would like to add journaling, do it at this step. You may journal directly on the background or on a neutral color of cardstock. If you choose to journal on cardstock, you may ink the edges or mat with a darker color of cardstock

For my example, I just added a strip of patterned paper along the bottom, but you may add much more if that's your style.  You can see a couple of leaves tucked behind the photo on the left and a journaling block on white cardstock with the edges inked.

Rules:
  1. Open to layouts and art/travelers journal pages, can be any theme or subject you would like
  2. May be combined with one other challenge that allows combining but not until the final step
  3. Do not add or do anything other than what is listed here, you will have plenty of opportunities to add more things
  4. Do not save your spot of edit your post. If you make a mistake, just post again correctly.
  5. This step is due next Thursday January 30 at midnight
  6. Digital is fine, but you might want the ability to print something out at some point
  7. Each step completed on time will get you one entry. One randomly selected winner will receive an ACOT $5 GC. If there is a lot of participation, there may be a second winner. Only people who complete step 5 will be eligible, but if you are late on an earlier step you are still eligible, you just won't get credit for that step.
  8. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, ASK ON THIS THREAD!
I hope you have fun!

Can the patterned paper be any size and cut any way we want or does it need to be strips like yours?

One more question....
I've added embellishments behind a photo, is it okay to journal on one of them or do you want it separate?

You ask difficult questions. I’m going to say sure.

Thanks...sorry!  LOL!  I needed to know if I had to leave room for journaling if I couldn't add it to the embellishment.

Okay, here's my step 3.

I added patterned paper strips (striped, yellow stars, woodgrain) across the top, bottom and behind the photos and adhered two embellishments under the left photo.  The journaling is on the embellishment.

My patterned paper has a strip of washi tape on it. I also added the hearts, tickets, tag and star, and I added the journaling box. I added a star on top of one picture to cover up some trash on the table.
