The hardest thing about being a professional con artist is not keeping your real identity hidden, or even beginning a new life every few months. No, the hardest thing about being a professional con artist is remembering that the life you are temporarily inhabiting is not, in fact, your real life. You cannot get involved, and you certainly cannot fall for your ”mark” because when your entire life is built on lies, you don’t know who to trust.
This may yet prove to be Evie Porter’s (not her real name) downfall. When she inserts herself into Ryan’s life by playing the damsel in distress, and soon becomes his girlfriend, it is easy to convince herself that he truly is her boyfriend and not her next assignment. But, when she meets someone who claims to be her (using her real identity, which no one should know) and then gets accused of involvement in a death from a previous assignment (which she completed under a different identity and, again, no one should know), the reality of Evie’s situation becomes all too clear. She is being watched and her boss is sending her a very clear message: “you are expendable”. Has letting her guard down put her in mortal danger? If she’s to get out of this one, she’ll have to pull off the greatest con of her life – figuring out her boss, “Mr. Smith”’s, true identity and doing whatever she can to bring him down.
OPTION 1: FIRST (FILL IN THE BLANK) WINS
Our lives are filled with firsts. First steps, first words, first day of school, first driver’s license, etc. Maybe you even came in first in a contest or a race once. For this first option (see what I did there? ), celebrate those firsts on a scrapbook page. It can truly be anything: first time hosting Thanksgiving at your house, first dog you owned, buying your first house. As long as it is a “first” for you or someone you know, it works! Just make sure the “first” you’re highlighting is the focus of the page.
OPTION 2: WHO CAN YOU TRUST?
Early on in her career, Evie realizes she needs an “inside man” who can do research, access technology, and discover secrets for her that she can’t find on her own. Enter, Devin. As the years go on, Devin becomes her go-to, the one constant in her life, the lone person who truly knows everything about her, and the only person Evie trusts implicitly. For Option 2, make a page about who that person is in your life. Who is your “ride or die”, your very best friend, the one who knows all your secrets and who you’d trust with your life? Celebrate that relationship on the page and in your journaling.

What a fun challenge, Rachel. I'm sharing the page from the Book Lovers Option 2 (who is your Ride or Die bestie!) I created with my BFF, Sandy J. We have had many exciting adventures riding our horses, and then celebrating that we survived afterwards! Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed making this page!

I chose option 1 and went with my granddaughter's first time watching a movie in a movie theater. She was so excited and had so much fun!
