August Postcard and Envelope Challenge

Post by Mycreativerootscrafts »

Hello Cherries  😍

I am so excited to be hosting this challenge!
The focus for this challenge is to create art with a foundation of a post card or an envelope as the substrate.
Using any mix media components, stamping, or collage style of embellishments.

This months challenge will be to put some sort of calender, clock or time stamp or gears on your project. I really love the steampunk style of art work when they use mechanical pieces and clocks and such. Here are some examples.

Love your examples (especially the first one). My gears are in motion and I just need to find the "right" project.

Here is my entry. A plain kraft envelope got "the treatment". So many elements added to transform into this gear/clock envie. I am thinking that I might attach it to a plain black card front and slip a message inside the envelope to add a little mystery for the recipient.

Thanks for the challenge, Flora, this was great fun. The postage stamps are courtesy of VickiR-thanks for the share from your stash!

Here is my envelope I made for my son's upcoming bday. I glued tissue paper onto an envelope, stamped and blended ink. The clock is textured paste and I also used postage stamp and map washi tape.
