JUNE Cherryland Challenge EDITED 6/11

EDIT: FROM THIS MONTH ON - IF you wish to participate by doing BOTH Princesses' layouts - you may. I've updated the gallery this morning to accept more than one layout from you, as well. THANKS!!!
Story of the Two Princesses of Cherry Land

Once upon a time there were two princesses that lived in a faraway land – Cherry Land. One princess – Princess Maraschino– was very dutiful to the laws of Cherry Land, and heeded all warnings given by her subjects and court. The other Princess, Princess SourCherry wasn’t evil, but more spiteful, and always did things a bit unconventional.

Chapter VIIII

JUNE
Princess Sour Cherry went in to see her friends at the school the girls attend, the school year was ending and the mood was relaxed. The girls were chatting about the new bathing suits they were going to purchase – Yep, it’s swimsuit time even in Cherryland.
Princess Maraschino came in to join in the conversation. She was going to the Cherry Swim Shoppe for the first time (being princesses, they never went, but rather the tailors came to them!) – but this time they had convinced the Queen to even let them go it alone!! That part was most appealing to Princess Sour Cherry, who always loved the venturing out alone part.
So – who are you? Even though the story of the girls is shorter than usual, the message is clear. If you are Princess Maraschino – you are going to do something you’ve never done before on a page. And there’s always something you haven’t done, trust me. As a paper scrapper, I had to do this after almost 20 years of scrapping – and I did a page using my photo as the background “paper”. (I’ll edit it later today to show you) But think outside the box – or in the box if there’s something new you haven’t used yet! But make it your own “trip to the swim shoppe”.
If you are Princess Sour Cherry – you are going alone – without chaperones. No rules here – but one. ONE photo. Only one, is allowed. It can be big and adventurous, like the princess, or it can be a little one that you want to stand alone.

This will be opened until midnight EST on June 30th. Any medium (digital, hybrid, paper) is fine, and MAY be combined with another challenge. Layouts, cards, altered project –all are accepted in Cherry Land. I will award a $5 prize to the winner pulled at random.

Probably way early and I hope you can combine ~ with the Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge #43. But I would like to submit the following to your challenge. I am a Princess Maraschino because I have never used a sketch to do a page before.
Also combined with Carolyn's challenge to use non-traditional Christmas colours for a Christmas layout, also never done.
These challenges are fun!
thank you

Image This is my 1st Cherryland challenge entry :) and I also used paper rolls for the gift package near the "life is a party" tag. I have wanted to use them since seeing one of Sherrilynne's April GD challenges - just haven't gotten around to it. I combined this with the June Shape Challenge by Deanna. Thanks Sher!

I am Princess Sour Cherry this month. And I just realized that my layout also contains some sour wannabe princesses (Cinderella's stepsisters)! I combined this with BF sketch #43.

Deanna!!!! You outdid youself, but again!! I love the butterflies, this is awesome - the stitching around the butterflies, and thru them - amazing! And the kidlets are the "Cherry on Top!" Look at her little feet!! And the tilt of his head looking off the photo! REALLY REALLY gorgeous!
