Shhh - I know it's Sunday night but I have to leave the house really early in the morning to go with dh for a doctor appointment and considering it's snowing out and we're expecting a storm I don't want to be rushing around in the morning.

I'll pop back on and answer my own questions.
1. Do you travel or stay home? We stay home for the holiday but we have a couple of small trips to take before and one the week after.
2. Are you done decorating yet? No but I'm lucky I have help coming tomorrow to get the tree out and get started on it- so by Thursday everything will be ready in the house.
3. What's your favorite holiday food? I love the baking, the smells and the fun we have as a family doing it. We always fix a big Christmas brunch and have the whole family over for it.
4. Do you have someone really hard to shop for? A few in the family really are hard to shop for - dh and I aren't getting each other anything this year- we're in the middle of building the house so we're just a little bit occupied with it. (understatement)
5. Do you send out the same things to some people every year? We do we have our list from Harry and david and distant relatives and some friends get pears every year and some other things- it's so nice to get that one done.
6. Are your cards done yet and ready to mail? Well - I completley cheat on this - my dil works in our office and since we send out a couple hundrend - we go over the list and she does it all for me. I probably shouldn't have admitted this one.

1. Do you travel or stay home? Most of our family is in the area so the most we travel is about 45 minutes.
2. Are you done decorating yet? No, the tree is up, the lights are on outside, the "mantel" has decorations (it's a shelf between bookcases, we don't have a fireplace), but I still have some more to do and keep putting it off.
3. What's your favorite holiday food? Hmm, any of my mom's cooking was great. But any of the sweets or snack stuff is good, especially homemade Chex Mix and cheese ball.
4. Do you have someone really hard to shop for? My dad is always hard to buy for since he doesn't have any hobbies or anything. This year though, he lost a bunch of weight after my mom passed away so he desperately needs new clothes and he can't afford to get new ones (especially difficult since you have to buy tall sizes for him and they can get expensive), so that's what we're doing.
5. Do you send out the same things to some people every year? No, if we buy for people it's different every year.
6. Are your cards done yet and ready to mail? No, we send out photo cards and still need to try to get our stubborn 4 yr old DD to cooperate for pictures.
7. LOl Are you tired? No, but we don't really do a whole lot, especially this year. Most people we used to buy for don't want to exchange gifts (for some reason they think Christmas is only for the kids...which bums me out. I used to enjoy finding a gift specifically for each person).

My folks are local, his are 2 hours north, so we usually do both.
2. Are you done decorating yet?
- ALMOST! Spent *all* day (after getting home from church & lunch) at it but the only things I have left are the tree star (I need to find some poster putty or something to hold it on), lights in the windows, & wash the glassware so we can use it. We have more up than we have in years - whew!
3. What's your favorite holiday food?
- Hmm, probably my mom's holiday shaped (& colored) butter cookies! Though I can't have much sugar so I don't get to eat very many of them anymore.
4. Do you have someone really hard to shop for?
- Yes, FIL! He's a retired farmer & his hobbies are watching sports on tv and working w/Habitat... so we'll probably just do a Habitat donation.
5. Do you send out the same things to some people every year?
- Gift-wise? If you mean the same types of things, some, yes - one BIL & I always get each other music CD's. But this year he's overseas so not sure what we're doing ($$$ to ship stuff).
