Yeah it did this time.  Sometimes it does,sometimes not,but I'm sure whatever the issue is, the reason is something I'm doing wrong.

Speaking of wrong, I just saw the mat has to be not patterned paper. Mine is about 1/16th of an inch, I did it with a mostly white scrap paper,that's what I usually do.  If I need to change it before I start gluing, please let me know. I didn't ask because I was just using a scrap piece.

Ok, so I’m a little worried about the dark background considering the stencils and stamps.  I wavered between this red and a gray one, but here it is:

I'll change it if the glue lets me, or I could reprint the photos. I use liquid glue, on everything.  I'll see....

I thinly matted my photos with black cardstock.

I am posting this late! I just want to play along! Here is step 1. I have not looked ahead at Step 2 , so will do that now! These are so fun!
