At 66 I have favorites that resonated with me at different seasons of my life. Does it have to be a current one? Or can I select one from the past as long as I meet the other requirements?

are we supposed to use the album cover for the song we pick or any old cover?

I will take any ole cover from that artist.
Well, I have really been into all the releases by Post Malone duos with country artists. the lyrics are very clever in all the songs, the references to all the old country music and the artists own songs, the brilliant use of "easter eggs" in all of it all the way trough...I have never been a Post Malone fan or even known who he was until this album and all the duos he has inspired. He is truly a genius. The album cover is all kinds of thought provoking...until you realize how it was created... lol. The truck was suspended in mid air by a crane- my son is a crane operator and there was "buzz" in his company that they would be the ones to do the shot. It didn't end up being them ... but they have done work for many other famous people including Space-X and Tesla sights here in Texas.
Anyway....a VERY long post to say...I love this challenge I will definitely put some thought into this and see what I can come up with.
While this album is clearly not an ALL TIME favorite of mine...I think it could quickly become a "right now" favorite for sure!

Here is my interpretation of this challenge. I hope it is OK.
Photo of Our Wedding on July 15, 2000. The photo opens like an album cover and inside is our favorite song; I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden, which is on the left side. On the right side is journaling of why that song is our favorite.

I loved this!!!
I chose "Growing Up Raising You" by Gabby Barrett... I used a photo from this past Mother's Day of me and my little men! I chose her album cover as well and used the colors, even used a cloud pattern paper!
