Now that winter is in full swing....and you may live in an area of the country where you would rather be inside than outside...have we got some awesome challenges for you this month.  Take a peek and see what might pique your interest in completing this month.  Remember, random point winners are drawn at the beginning of the following month....and one layout only gets you one entry into that drawing (no matter how many "challenges" you can complete with that one layout).* * * * * * * * * *AD INSPIRATION CHALLENGE by MamaK321 (Kristianne)
Inspiration:  the act of influencing or suggesting opinions : to draw forth or bring out : an inspiring agent or influence

Ad inspiration is like a step up from sketches. There is a basic sketch that you can pull out and use on your own layout but there are also a few other pieces to take inspiration from such as colors, patterns, title or keywords, theme, font styles, and element placement. You can copy a design straight from the ad or you can alter a design to fit your own layout. Most ads are 8.5x11" but you can adapt the design to fit any size. Remember, this is not a sketch and you are not required to follow every detail. The key is to really LOOK at the ad and find the pieces that INSPIRE you!

BUCKET LIST CHALLENGE by mkcdaisy (Amanda)
After seeing the preview for the movie several times, I think it would be a neat page.  Make a layout of your bucket list.  Things that yu want to do and haven't done.  Or even add someof those things and somehow mark off what you have already done.  Make it fun.

It's February and love is in the air so create a Valentine's Day card to show your sweetie just how much you love them!

For February's color challenge, make a layout with Valentine's colors- red, pink, white or black.  Have fun!!  It doesn't have to have a Valentine's or Love theme but must contain those colors or a combination of those colors.

FAITHBOOK CHALLENGE by Keling (Sara)
What do you pray about? What is sitting close to you heart? What keeps you up at night? This month, create a page that highlights something you are praying about or praying for.

In my example, I've focused on my two year old, who we are praying for concerning several challenges he is facing, medically and developmentally.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT CHALLENGE by CamsMomma (Jackie)
Weather you like it or not, you have to think about food EVERY SINGLE DAY.  It’s a major part of our lives and I think it gets over looked for the most part.  My challenge is for you to talk about your food experiences.  It can be your (or someone else’s) favorite or least favorite food; a great recipe; a funny memory that happened with food; anything, as long as your subject is food or drink related.

I admit it—I’m spoiled.  Las Vegas enjoys the most sunny days per year, on average, of any city in the US.  But for the last two weeks we’ve been plagued with overcast skies, winds, and chilly temperatures.  I’m dreaming of spring.
To me spring is signified by green!  So, your challenge is to pick a lovely spring green and scrap a page that signifies spring to you!

HERITAGE PHOTOS CHALLENGE by ICanHasCherryOnTop (Tracy)
A while back, I was really lucky to be able to get my hands on my Father’s-In-Law old photographs. What a treasure! He had photos going all the way back to around 1910 or so. I scanned a bunch of them and this is one of my all time favorites. These are my husband's grandparents at a picnic around 1932.

For this challenge I want to see your OLD photos. Since not everyone is fortunate enough to have really old photos and because I want everyone to participate, for the purpose of this challenge any photo that is *at least as old as you are* will count.

HYBRID CHALLENGE by FairyMouseMom (Egle)
"What's In Your Wallet?" Hybrid Challenge is this month's theme.
This month your challenge is to create something that is created using both the computer and traditional supplies to make something that you can keep in your wallet.  My example is a double-sided business card sized hybrid I created for a friend.  One side consists of a free hand drawing I made with lyrics of a song outlining my picture.  Since my scan didn't pick up the pencil on the picture well enough, I ended up photographing it.  I then imported that drawing as a picture...and created a digital layout with it.  I sized my original file as 2" x 7" since I was making it double sided.  The other side consisted of a picture I found online.  Both sides included using a digital kit for extra embellishing.

JOURNALING CHALLENGE by Mommybruno (Cassandra)
There was a period in my life where I wrote a lot of poetry, and lately I’ve been thinking about compiling some of the better ones into a scrapbook. Won’t you join me? This month I challenge you to scrap a poem – it can be your own, someone else’s, a limerick…whatever you feel like! Let’s see how you scrap those verses!

OUTSIDE YOUR BOX CHALLENGE by suslvgeo (Susan)
This month I challenge you to make a layout with no photos...just journaling. I know this must be outside of the box for most, because when I went searching for ideas on how to do this page I had in mind, I couldn't find hardly any examples. So show me what you can do with no photographs and just the power of words.

TRENDS AND TECHNIQUES CHALLENGE by katarria (Kathy)
One of my all-time favorite techniques for scrapbooking is using journaling strips to convey my message!  This month I want to see you use journaling strips on your layouts!  You can print them on your computer, stamp them, or write them out by hand - but you must have at least 5 strips of journaling on your layout for this challenge!  Have fun!

WISH UPON A STAR CHALLENGE by janello (Janell)
Create a layout all about wishes.  Let something you've wished for inspire your next layout, or  maybe someone else's wish.  The only requirements are 1. Use the word wish anywhere in your layout and 2. Use some sort of star.
