Growing up in the 80's and 90's - this was definitely one of my favorite shows and board games.  I wanted to appear on the tv game show so much!  I can say that I probably learned more about geography and world facts from this show than most of my time in school.  This show made me want to learn!  And I'm hoping this challenge will make you want to create!!

This is Carmen Sandiego - there's many concepts of her but the one we are going to focus on is Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?  She's a fictional villian that is the ringleader of the criminal organization V.I.L.E., crooks who go around stealing world treasures and artifacts like the Great Pyramid in Egypt or the Great Wall in China, the Washington Monument in D.C. or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.  
Each month, I will pick a specific location that Carmen has been seen and you are to take inspiration from that location and make a project.  You could be inspired by maybe the colors that are reminiscent of that location or the flag of the country, something about the geography of the location - for example if she was seen in Paris - you could take inspiration from the long Seine River and have a long title for your page or maybe you're inspired by the Eiffel Tower and you have tall design elements for your project.  Maybe she was seen in Dallas and you could be inspired by the Dallas Cowboys  star emblem or rodeos?  There is bound to be a ton of things you could be inspired by for the locations.

The Rules:
 For each new project, you will be entered to randomly win a $5 ACOT gift card.  In addition, some months there will be a bonus element or idea for an entry for a stash goodie bag.  BONUS element activated for September!
You may enter this challenge a maximum of 3 times.  Each entry must use a different source of inspiration.
Challenge is open to layouts, cards, decor projects, etc.  - if you aren't sure, just ask!
You may combine with any monthly challenge that allows and also the bi-monthly challenge.

Carmen was spotted in Australia! Word on the street is that she may be there to steal the Great Barrier Reef?  Or maybe the Sydney Opera House??  She was last seen in the Outback with lots of koalas and kangaroos chasing her!
Use this place as inspiration for layouts this month! 
Maybe you like the challenge of "down under" - and the biggest part of your layout (75% or more) is on the bottom half of the page.
Sydney Opera House could be used for inspiration for those music pages you need to scrap.
Snorkeling, ocean or aquarium pictures?  Find inspiration from the Great Barrier Reef!
The Australian flag features navy field, white stars and a small Union Jack in the upper left corner - use these colors for inspiration!
Australia is home to some neat animals - kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devils... let's see some exotic animal or zoo pages!
Australia is also known for it's wine country - although I didn't know that - they are the 7th biggest wine producing country and the 4th largest wine exporter!

This month for the bonus entry - DOWN UNDER - place your title in the bottom 1/3 of the page...

Inspiration for this layout is snorkeling.  I so wish I could go to Australia and snorkel the Great Barrier Reef.  This snorkel trip was in Cozumel, MX.

I used the Great Barrier Reef as inspiration! After reading your challenge description, I realized that I hadn't scrapped a lot of the water activities that we did while on vacation in Hawaii, including snorkeling. I made water the focus with all the splash cutfiles, and for the bonus, I covered up a chipboard piece and used it for my title, placing on the bottom third of the page.

Here it is framed. 

I imagine there would be dragonflies in the grasses of Australia. I created this painting with colored pencils and watercolor paints. Combined with Tag and General Craft challenge.
