Wine corks

Post by -Shannon- »

So anyone here ever make anything with wine corks? If so, did you cut them in half and what the heck did you use to do it? I think I need to go buy an exacto knife to do it. Whaddya think?I'll be making a couple of cork boards.

Shannon, just as an FYI, one nice thing on this board is that if you post on the wrong board, you can come back and click "edit",  then at the top above your post, you can use the drop down menu to change the board it's posted to!  No need to make a whole new post.   (newb)

Really, I can't even believe we're discussing wine corks.  Do you have any idea how dangerous those things are?  You'll take an eye out.  I can't even believe the alcohol industry still uses them.

I have some cork circles I got at a craft store once. They are likely to sit in my drawer until the end of time.

Just like an NSBRer to want to debate wine corks!

One thing you learn at the pod is that ANY thing can be controversial and debatable

How many wine corks does it take to build a cork board?

And what if you get the cheap wine with screw on tops?    would you used the wine caps on your layouts?

My neighbor collects wine corks and has constructed them in a pretty bowl and glued them in the bowl.  It's a bowlful of corks.  No purpose - just to collect and show off.  It's always great going to her house and adding to her collection.  But we have to drink before we do that.  :-)  Terri
