ACOT Message Board

So I'm in the middle of making my stuffed manicotti tonight and Erynn, my 5 yr old, comes running into the dining room and I see her writing something down on a small piece of paper. She then comes over to me with the phone and this piece of paper that has 563 written on it, and tells me that after we eat supper, I need to call this number. I ask her what it's for and she says that the commercial on tv said that everyone has to call. I was getting frustrated with my manicotti that was falling apart, so I just told her to set it down and I forgot about it. Well, we get done eatting and I came to check the message board like I always do, and she followed me in here with the phone and her 3 digits. She said I had to call. I tried to explain to her that I needed more than just 3 numbers, and I had to see the commercial first before I called. I almost had her convinced that there would be no one to answer my call because it was dark outside, but she didn't buy it. Finally, after her doing some really hard thinking she explained a little more of the commercial to me. She said:"There are a bunch of people yelling at the tv saying 'I want my money and I want it now!', and the guy says that we can call!"  I literally burst out laughing because she was so serious. Of course that puzzled her, and I asked her, "So they are giving away money?" and she said, "Yep, to anyone who calls. You need to call!" Her expression was priceless though.This is the same girl who, as I was giving her a bath one night, told me that we need to call BathFitter to come redo our bathroom because ours was ugly.Think she watches too many commercials?

Well . . . Marcy . . . I remember Amanda coming into the room one Saturday morning because I needed to watch an infomercial . . . I did - and then she cried when I didn't order the pots and pans.Same Amanda - different commercial - I used to wash her hair with Pantene (if my memory serves me right) and one night as I was putting her to bed, she asked "Mama is my hair soft and shiny?" 

Well I hope you kept that little piece of paper with the numbers on it, cuz that can go into a page for sure! hahaha!

I remember that commercial.  It's not free money.  You have to have won the lottery, or have an anuity or won a lawsuit, something where you get paid x amount of money for y amount of years.  You sign over your future money to them for a little bit of money right now.  Loan sharks with commercials!!
