My mom sent me the link to the CK Hall of Fame scandal because it made FRONT PAGE of the LA Times. Can you believe?! Front page? M'kay. Nothing has been better for this woman's career than all of this publicity.http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... ome-center

And it doesn't seem like the reporter took in both sides of the situation. And I think it made traditional scrappers sound unworthy.

I just read the article, what i understood that the lady submitted photos that someone else took and she credited the photographer, its the magazine's fault that they made her win, what did she do wrong?

I'm glad to see Kristina is scrapbooking again. That she has found a way to get through all of the scandal, and still be herself, which she was always trying to be in the first place. I won't defend her Hall of Fame entry, because she didn't follow the rules, but I am really glad that she is scrapbooking again.

You know, she made some amazing pages and probably will take scrapbooking to a totally different level. Every hobby needs a scandal, huh?!

I feel bad for her.  It is not like she was trying to hide it...and pardon me for saying...I think her work and her style is amazing...she scraps exactly how I would imagine a single to newly married person would...about herself, her dog, and HER life!  So sad that this is even STILL making news...JMO

I just think it's ridiculous that it made the FRONT PAGE of the LA TImes. Were they hurting for news??? Or trying to jump start her career?

Wow, that's nuts! Not only because it made the front page of LA Times but because people can be so self-righteous and vindictive. I feel bad for her. She got ripped a new one for one mistake. I say "Those in glass houses....

that is sad that she was attacked like that.  it's obvious that she didn't think about the photograph aspect of it. i mean she asked for the credit for her friend..that's when CK should have said WHOAH...sorry but read the fine print because you're disqualified.  big hairy deal life goes on.  I just don't get it why so many people were mean to her, it wasn't her mistake(intention) it was a misinterpretation...ck is at fault. but still i don't think it's enough to make such a huge deal over. it was a mistake , everyone apologized...I think CK should send her a free room of scrappy supplies for all the grief she's suffered because of their mistake though. lol

Thanks for sharing - cool article!  I heard about her situation but didn't know much about it.  Pretty sad that she hadn't been scrapping - I would be devastated if something like that made me give up one of my hobbies!!I'm a 20-something, no kids, not yet married, with cats.  I'll have to check out her stuff!  :)

It's funny how different message boards have totally different opinions about the whole situation.I feel that it is "Much ado about nothing."

I agree :much ado about nothing"...I didn't even know about this until I just read this article! I understand she unintentionally broke the rules, but I lay the blame on CK for not doing the right thing from the get go...disqulifying her when they found out it wasn't her original photo...just my opinion

Thanks for sharing.  It was so nice of the Times to do an in-depth investigation and get to the bottom of the story. It covered both sides well....NOT!!   I thought it was pretty one sided.  My, she sounds like a winner...pardon the pun. There I go, being a catty scrapper.

Am I the only one who a) didn't hear about this and b) doesn't see that it's THAT scandalous?  BFD (and I'm not talking about the new Domino's Pizza promotion, either!)
