After work tonight I'm gonna stop and get some groceries in the morning and hibernate for 5 days at home!  So glad I'm off for a bit, I'm planning on quilting and get some much needed paper crafting in.  I was supposed to go to VA to visit my Aunt but we cancelled.  This weather has been so unpredictable lately.  BRRR I've never been so cold and I can't even image 0 degree weather, it's crazy!  In in western PA.  That's a big temperature drop for you!

I hate the cold and....I'm being sent to Chicago on Sunday to do a site visit. I peeked at the weather forecast and all I saw were single digits. I'm gonna turn into an icepop - how do people survive that kind of cold???

(What's even harder to comprehend is I went to college in Maine!)

We’re cutting our camping trip early and heading home tomorrow to prepare the house, get supplies…before the state comes to a complete halt from snow. We are not used to these conditions… it won’t be fun. To make up for leaving early I had some retail therapy and shopped today…. Most was pre-order so I won’t get it till Feb but it sure was fun

A friend went to the grocery today and said there wasn’t a parking spot available…. I’m going to go early Sunday morning and then not leaving the house till the big thaw!

My best advice is to layer up. And I am now the proud owner of a heated vest. I recommend one!! I a now toasty warm! Me, being in the west, started our chill down today. After almost 50F yesterday, the thermometer has just been dropping steadily today and now says 16F.

We have basketball tomorrow for the grandkids and after that, we'll be stationary in the house until at least the middle of next week.  Groceries are stocked up!

It's definitely going to shut Houston down for a couple days.  We aren't prepared for snow or ice here.  Which I am fine with.  I just stay indoors with the fireplace and my crafty supplies.  I just hope the power stays on.

My goodness Dear Cherries!!! Please be prepared and stay safe and warm!!!

I would recommend that those of you who aren’t used to the bitter cold or ice or snow need to make sure you have flashlights and batteries in case the power goes out. Make sure your devices stay charged too.

It’s been a really weird winter for sure! You’re all freezing and getting snow and ice. We’ve been around 45-50 for most of the winter which is fine with me! But we’ve had gales and torrential rains for days on end. It seemed like they would never end! Then suddenly Thursday evening the sun came out for a bit and it went down to 29. We aren’t going to be in the 40s again at all in the 10 day forecast. I’ll take this winter over last year though!!! We had a lot of snow and one time we got 5 feet then it thawed a bit and froze and we got another 2-3 feet! I’m just super grateful that all that precipitation we’ve gotten has been rain or we’d be buried! Lolol!

{{{HUGS}}} and prayers everyone!!!!

I am cleaning my craft room so I can hunker down and not leave the house. Food shopping this morning and then pj’s for 3 days!! I always make sure to keep my pipes warm. Burst pipes are the worst and can disrupt your life. Stay safe everyone.

It is 36 this morning in central Ohio (that's a heatwave for us this week), and dropping to -3 (actual temperature) by Monday night. Sigh...if I don't at least get a delay on Tuesday for -20 wind chills, I'm going to lose it!  Stay warm, southern Cherries!  I know you all aren't used to this.

Ooh...a heated vest sounds like a great idea!

Your weather makes my down to 32 overnight and up to low 50’s sound like a heat wave.  Dang!  I shiver for you all.  But there’s hope—only 9 weeks till spring! 🌸🌺

LOL MAN! BRR!
I'm not a cold weather fan, and luckily I'm off for a few days so I can stay inside and play 😉
Stay warm, safe and blessed, Cherries! 🍒 ❤️☺️

We've had cold and snow for quite some time. No school in most of the area. Still snow on the ground, but it's melting with the rain today. We're in for those frigid temps and snow too.  I know some of you in the South may not be used to it so much. Stay safe and warm, everyone! 💖

East Tennessee is in the 40's today but with wind chill. Going down into the teens Sunday and continuing throughout the week. At least we have a holiday on Monday and I can work remote a couple days.

My advice is also layer up and definitely wear winter coat, hat and gloves with warm boots. The heated vest sounds perfect!
