Broken - Update

So I broke my ankle at the gym this morning. Ambulance ride and all. It's an avulsion fracture which means the break is caused by the ligament pulling off part of the bone. So boot and crutches 6-8weeks. I will also find out eventually if there's ligament damage and if I'll need surgery. So it's been a day.

UPDATE:
So went to Ortho yesterday. Not only do I have a new fracture, apparently I had fractured this foot in the past and didn't know it. What the heck?  I also have 2 bone spurs on the heel I didn't know about and have been irritated from the fall. So still non weight bearing for the next 2 weeks and then we will decide if an MRI is needed. They are thinking it will be a full 12 week recovery now. So...  
On a good note, they upgraded our KISS concert tickets to 12th row center because I can't do stairs. I will also be using a scooter when we go to Disney in April. Crazy how it affects your whole life! My bathseat arrived yesterday so I can shower! Woohoo!  LOL

OMG Shannon! I am so sorry this happened. If anybody deserves a drink after a "rough day", it'd be you. Hands down.

Oh, my Gosh! That sounds like a seriously painful break!! Yikes!, Be very sure to take Care of yourself, exactly as Doc orders so it will heal up fast and right!
