A sad start to the new year

2011 was a rough year, my father became very sick and had to move to a nursing home. I went back to Norway this fall to spend some time with him. It was something I just felt I had to do. Now a couple of weeks before Christmas he was admitted to the hospital with phenomena in both lungs and a urineway infection, needless to say the holidays was not so good for me this year. Late last night he was finally in peace, It is so painful for us who is left here, but he has no pain anymore.

I'm so very sorry to hear this, Gine. I lost my Grandma on December 10th, so I really understand how you feel. I'm happy you got the chance to see him this fall, hopefully that visit and the memories of your father will help ease your pain in the coming weeks/months. *hugs*
