He was in my house this morning!...I thought it was a cat climbing the blinds so I raised them and reached up to get him down...THEN I realized it wasn't a cat!...I'm lucky I didn't get bit!!!... A little too much excitement before 8 in the morning! He was kind enough to stay in the blinds until animal control came out!

They aren't cute when they show you all those teeth they have!!

I've had young ones in my house before, even on my bed, but they had cocker help getting there!

I'm such a scrapbooker too...because I took the pictures before I called animal control LOL...he was young so he didn't know enough to be mean...but he sure didn't like the loop thing they put over his head to get him out, that's when he got mad and was hissing and showing his teeth...he got in because it was so nice out last night I had the back door open...the animal control guy said we needed a screen door, I told him we had one until some high winds tore it off a couple of months ago lol...and I agree he does look kinda cute sittin there...I want to scrap it...anybody got any ideas on a digi kit to use? I do like the title of this post maybe to use on the LO.

Ok..dumb question....Obviously we don't have that creature in northern Manitoba...so what is it??? Are they dangerous? How did it get into your house?

He is soooo cute!!! Did you search your house to see if more got in? Lucky for you one of the cats didn't see him first.

Wow! Seeing that would have made my heart jump out of my chest. So glad you didn't get bit. I've only seen them from afar, like backed into a corner in the yard, but NEVER in the house!! EEEEkkkk!!

He's a possum (or opossum)
I was really glad that he stayed put while waiting on animal control...I didn't want to have to move furniture to get him out since I was trying to get kiddos ready an off to school.

Awwww what a surprise for you! He looks to be a young one which is good for you as they are less likely to bite. glad the Animal control was able to get him out safely.

You did luck out and get a really cute picture out of it! LOL Sadly, I only see them usually as roadkill while I am out running. Have you checked your cats to be sure they weren't bit or scratched by it?

I am impressed at how you handled it----getting a picture, calling animal control and then just getting the kids ready while you waited!? I would have been sitting right there making sure I could see it at all times! LOL---oh, and I probably would have screamed--which for sure would have made him come out of the blinds! LOL

Geez that is creepy! And to think I freaked out over a bumble bee that got in my house last week. I don't know what I'd do if that was in my house.

He just kinda froze when he saw us...he almost fell out of the blind but I had a big cooking pot ready and a blanket to cover it with ready just in case...I didn't want to have to deal with moving furniture lol...the cat wasn't happy, but she seems fine thankfully
