Preparing to cry today...

Some of you may remember that one of my DD's soccer teammates was killed in an ATV accident in November. She was 15. Well, soccer season has begun and last night at practice the coach brought out her Jersey that he had printed with her name (our jerseys are used from year to year so they are never marked with names) and had all the girls sign it. They will present it to her mom and sister at the game tonight. It's going to be a very sad but cathartic event. RIP number 8. You will ALWAYS be a lady Trojan!!!

That is so Sad. My dd had a friend die last year, he was just 16 and the boys basketball team this year won states so they presented a metal to his Mom. Tears my heart out just thinking about it. Take lots of tissues.

I'm choked up, too! I know it will be difficult for everyone to hold the tears in, but it will help everyone remember her in happy times playing a game she loved! I think it is a very thoughtful expression of love to her mother. My thoughts will be with you and your family.
